(G)I-DLE is the best group

then there are excellent groups for different tastes: IVE, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans

aespa is still there, not as high as before but it's not too late for them to climb back

ITZY's there too, not as high as before either but it's gonna stay that way I think

and let's not forget the usual suspects from 3rd gen: Blackpink and Twice

1. Ive - The biggest musical act in Korea right now, think Twice during their glory years (2016-2018)

2. New Jeans - They are emerging as a real threat to Ive, they are the Blackpink to Ive's Twice.

3. Gidle - Biggest story in Kpop this year, like a phoenix rising from the ashes of the biggest bullying scandal in Kpop last year.

4. Blackpink - Still charting top 2 but not having as much longevity. The last 3rd gen holdout fending off 4th gen attacks from every direction.

5. Aespa - their comebacks this year have flopped but they still have more recognition than LSRFM which is why they're still ahead.

6. Lesserafim - challenging Itzy for the best performing group in Kpop, they have two hits with outstanding longevity.

Itzy, Red Velvet, Twice, StayC, and Oh My Girl make up the second tier. RV, StayC and Itzy have had one hit and one flop this year. Twice and Oh My Girl flopped .

The third tier is NMIXX and Kepler, on the outside looking in.

2022 was the year of ive, 2023 will be no different. 2022 was all a preparation stage for ive's total domination in the upcoming years

1) current Queens on the Thone: These groups have already established themselves GLOBALLY with unprecedented popularity and will not be coming down no matter how much their antis want them to.

2) Kpop Duchesses: Not as powerful or popular as the Queens but still have have a substantial global following

MamaMoo, Red Velvet, Itzy, and to a certain degree Apink and Oh my girl.

3) Kpop Princesses : the newer generation Groups who seem to be quickly gaining popularity and trying to establish themselves.

G-idle, Ive, LsF, Aespa, NewJeans, Nmixx, and to a certain degree Kep1er, Niziu and StayC

4 etc) Those who are trying to challenge the Royalty:

WekiMeki, Fromis9, Weekly.. and others i cant remember right at this moment.

Meh, I made lots of jokes against delulu blinks when they were comparing BP to BTS before.


But what can I say, BP put up the numbers this comeback, if BP can break all kinds of records with a mediocre song like Pink Venum, imagine what they could do if YG gives them something good.
