Sm doesn't accept solo gigs too early in their groups careers, they did it with almost all their groups. Accepting Cfs and other solo gigs for one member can easily turn a group to miss A 2.0 where one member is extremely popular but no one knows the other members. With all the hype about karina's CG visuals when aespa debuted, there is no way love calls didn't come for her, but sm doesn't push only one member too early. I actually think this is the reason their groups last longer, when aespa debuted, everyone was all about karina's looks, but now winter and ningning are getting spot light almost as much as karina, if sm focused too much on karina and accepted all love calls, people would have forgotten the other members. But that doesn't mean karina wouldn't have her turn, yoona had the longest it girl career, so give it a year or 2 when aespa have solidified their spot in 4th gen as a group, the members are going to start getting pushed individually. So to answer your question wooyoung is leading the 4th gen girls in terms of solo gigs atm, but I have a feeling karina would be a force to be reckoned with when sm starts pushing aespa individually.

I don't know how anyone can say Karina is a good singer. She might be, she could be but we just don't know. We never heard her singing live. Aespa never sing live. I mean, no SM artists sing live. They always use Autotune. For that reason, I am not a big fan of SM.
They're both very beautiful. I know from the Mc job that Wonyoung was a smart person. Karina is talented and she has a unique stage aura. Wonyoung also very stunning stage aura. So it about the exactly the same. Depends on who you like more. But Jennie right now is it girl. They have to get past her first.

"It Girl" is not just about being beautiful or attractive. If that was the case then literally any pretty female idol could be considered an "It Girl".
I hate to sound like a snob, but "It Girl" is about status and influence, and while yes, beauty is definitely a part of that, it's not the only defining trait. It girl is about having the money, the looks, the prestige, the popularity, and influence. They are fashionable socialites that every girl wants to be. They are the hottest in the sense that people can't stop talking about them. For example, look at Regina George in Mean Girls, she was basically the "It Girl" of her school. Or for a celebrity example, Sydney Sweeny seems to be the newest "It Girl" these days in the West, or even Zendaya. Paris Hilton at her peak is also another good example.
In Kpop when people talk about "It Girl" it's a similar concept except it has more to do with being "the trend" and having lots of brand deals, CFs, and public relevance. In a way, it's like a fantasy of being a pretty, rich, and glamorous young heiress.
And Wonyoung seems to just naturally embody that perfectly in a way I just don't see with Karina. It's something I think Jennie has about her that is very similar.

But let’s not act Winter wasn’t getting all the attention, while Karina is more popular for her visual, Winter is popular for her aura at least in Korea. They were close in popular but since girls Karina has been stomping

sm could brand winter as the next taeyeon and i think she'd be successful in that aspect. plus koreans like her more than karina.
winter could be on par with wonyoung's popularity not with cf gigs but solo music if she starts her solo career in the future. karina won't beat wonyoung even if she starts to work individually. wonyoung's aura is like jennie's but with a more fresher vibe.

You cant really compare because Karina has not had any solo opportunities yet but imo she has more IT factor since she is actually talented. Wonyoung is super popular but it's mostly for her visuals let's be honest that's all people ever talk about lol.
