it's like their companies don't want to give them a source of income on their own. in fact yg's strategy is really good cause they just wanted to hit every industry from music to fashion and they succeeded.

sm usually pushed members by giving them mc jobs, solo photoshoots and stuff but what now? they have members like karina and winter but compared to groups like ive, newjeans, lsrfm and more, they don't really have anything? Karina had this travel diary thing but it was for the sake of good relations between the government and SM. no income for her at all, charity job. Winter had this OST with NingNing, but her activities are also held back within the company. only NingNing had a solo vogue shoot and campaign, but the other 3 girls seem to be limited to SM family only. it's about the time when it will backfire on them.

being a main dancer and being consistent are two different things. blackpink choreos are not about technique or anything, it's more like who's going to put more energy situation. if Rose and Jennie decide to make an effort that day, you really can't tell.

and as for aespa, it's "bite more than you can chew" savage and girls are all about locking, popping, isolations, handwork AND footwork. when 3 out of 4 have body control issues, often being off beat and shit. in blackpink it's not so obvious because the choreo is simple.

aespa is not making sense cause Karina's footwork is outstanding one of the best in this generation, not to mention her crazy good musicality. girlie improved a lot leaving everyone behind.

girls over illusion? be serious. the whole instrumental is shit, it's like 5 different songs combined together with tacky transitions between. compared to Savage, it's embarrassing and sad how aespa completely lost their own song structure.

also y'all always being like "omgomogmogmg less rap parts!!11" BUT who tf will get attention and bring energy by singing? are you going to jump and scream to highnotes? good luck and have fun but everyone at this festival is DEAD SLEEPING.

it girls have been known for not having a lot of activities, but when they do it's something big. wonyoung and yujin are a product of starship to earn money. they are doing a lot now, the buzz is right there, but in reality they wouldn't be able to keep up that momentum on their own. people are going to get tired of them really fast too and because they are not that talented, other group members can replace them, which puts them in a bad position.

it girls can be made for different audiences but always have 3 things in common (outstanding skills, face and personality). cfs need them not the other way around.

things are moving fast at the moment, but that will stop at some point. companies that keep their idols and don't let them do what everyone around them..are actually smart.

the thing with the it girl term...kpopies see a hated idol and call her "it girl" when in reality these girls are just plain annoying. Yuna, Wonyoung, Garam and more. like are they hated because they breathe? not really tho, these girls do shit themselves that is questionable and then everyone wonders why people cringe at the sight of them. please.

karina during bm era was more hated but no less popular than winter. next level was all about karina (even though each member was given the same opportunities in terms of styling and showcasing talent) savage is the only era karina lost her position but that's because winter got a bob that blew up in Japan. 4 months after their comeback, winter was already behind karina. for girls era karina got some singing lines and was trending because of her bangs higher than aespa. she keeps her dance-vocal-rap buzz in combination with her visuals, some personality moments and then viral moments. no matter what the other members do, karina will end up on top anyway because she has that star factor that the others lack. the funniest thing is that she's not trying at all and she's certainly not the main focus of the company.

I mean...why not? visually and story-wise there is always potential here. not to mention that even in korean dramas we have basics like Empress Ki and more. it's fun and exciting to watch.

NingNing does nothing but mouth open and winking like i really do not get the "best stage presence" agenda on her. Giselle is even better than her when it comes to facials, but her dancing skills...poor thing. looking at facials and dancing skills / stamina - it's Karina

listen, being an idol is also being a dancer and a singer. mind you, as a dancer you cannot take a 2 year break because you will simply lose your skills and your stamina will worsen - and that's what happened with blackpink. I have the impression that these girls traveled and slept all this time. NO self-time improvement, even if Jennie and Jisoo still needed it even before the whole hiatus. currently they are unable to present themselves well and consistently on stage. Rose lost a lot of energy,, no stamina and weaker body control. but Lisa girl? you can say her stamina is the best, much better than before hiatus. why? because her ass was working, even if she had a solo debut during that 2-year hiatus. maybe her technique was missing in pole dancing, but other than that? she's not a good performer, she's just consistent and that's something her co-members are lacking. that's why they look like that. it's just them being lazy for me.

most of the idols didn't have ps but they did have cosmetic fillers like lips, nose injections, face lift with fat dissolve and so on. of course we have plastic surgery idols like Wendy, but it's because of her accident or Chaeryeong with surgery on her nose bridge.

idols like Winter, Yeji, Yuna and more end up just with cosmetic fillers for their noses and that's why after a while their noses look like they change shape because the substance disappears and they have to do the same thing all over again.

I also don't understand when kpop stans see idols with long necks, when in fact they have small facial bones naturally, because that's how genetics works and they say they have shaved jaws. most of the things idols do are double eyelids, face lifts, and injections into the chin area and under the eyes. this is not plastic surgery. the only plastic surgery that is common is rhinoplasty.

in all of this Jessi probably had the most surgery.

of course wonyoung but I wouldn't be surprised if karina take over with just the right amount of solo activities. maybe the 4th generation IT GIRL has not debuted yet lmao

i mean with Giselle - she has bad days and bad performances, she is struggling with choreo too, but if she has a good day she goes with her sensual look throughout the performance, smiling, winking and girlie is feeling herself. She also often has tight clothes and nonexistent makeup, straight hair over and over again. Like it all influences her, she is sensual performer so visible lips and wavy hair is all she needs

Karina and her facials are the best of the group, their latest illusion performance is a perfect example of this. Her energy is good, she knows when to use dynamics and when not, her dancing details add a lot to her too and she is pleasing to watch overall. The problem with her is that when she has straight hair that bothers her or tight clothes, an unstable chest area (and this happens quite often) her quality drops and she looks mad and annoyed. Her makeup is usually non-existent, everything is colorless and there are no interesting hairstyles compared to NingNing with full makeup, red lips and dark shadows or even Winter with new hairstyles, eye catching clothes and more. It makes a big difference.

Winter is good with her center parts, she just isn't consistent. She smiles and winks. She usually makes contact with the camera through her intense gaze and that does the job. She doesn't fit sensual or fierce expressions. She is more elegant, feminie and gentle. This bob has ruined her a bit like she isn't enjoying herself.

Personally, I think you are exaggerating. Stop blaming them. Their stylists just aren't very good at their job. Imagine their coachella stage, with black and red combo outfits, red lips, heavy eye shadows, interesting hairstyles..they would slay but guess what. The same goes for their mama stage. They are only four, the stage is big and black, their clothes are black, they have nothing on their faces, just blank. Choreographies are with small movements, they are always actually struggling not to step on each other by accident. SM management is the problem here.
