I still don't understand why more people like Illusion than Girls

because its catchy and a bop and the only good song among all the new songs in that album.

personally i also liked Girls over Illusion

Yeah Illusion was extremely overrated by most on here. Girls is a blop but still better than Illusion.

girls over illusion? be serious. the whole instrumental is shit, it's like 5 different songs combined together with tacky transitions between. compared to Savage, it's embarrassing and sad how aespa completely lost their own song structure.

also y'all always being like "omgomogmogmg less rap parts!!11" BUT who tf will get attention and bring energy by singing? are you going to jump and scream to highnotes? good luck and have fun but everyone at this festival is DEAD SLEEPING.

I never got the Illusion hype, and I've listened to it multiple times. I also think the lip licking and "yummy in my tummy" part is just creepy, I don't like that all.

I totally agree I didn't like Illusion until about the 4th or 5th time I heard it. The first time, I just saw "Yummy yummy yummy in my tummy" then I stopped taking it seriously. I didn't really get or remember it. Only just yesterday I watched their performance of it, and that was the first time I noticed their harmonization in the verses and bridge of the song. Watching the dance makes it obvious since they move together at those parts. Then immediately after that I listened to the song again through the lyric video and I got goosebumps at the bridge. So idk it was only cool once I noticed the details. (There is obviously the chorus part but there is also two people singing a high part and low part in the 2nd verse, 2nd prechorus, and bridge)

I think Girls is also a grower. But it's just not as cool, it's just that the chorus dance is just really anticlimactic.

Trust me,majority of the hate towards Girls are due to the following reasons:

1) Jumping on hate bandwagon towards aespa - as they overtaken BP record as most sold album. Most GG fanbase freaked out

2) Underwhelming choreo for chorus - which doesnt make it a bad song

3) Song too long, like never endin

4) Song is too "normal", it wasnt as unique as Next Level and Savage but again doesnt mean it is a bad song

It is mostly unjust hate towards aespa

Down the road, people will realise it is such a BOP
