To be fair, Rosé has more advantage to the group than Miyeon:
1) Rosé is native English speaker
2) Rosé is a much stronger dancer. She is second only to Lisa in the group
3) Rosé is more versatile compared to Miyeon. Rosé fits both the soft ballad type of music as well as fierce girl crush concepts (Miyeon was always pointed out as not fitting in GIDLE's strong image in early days)
4) Rosé plays instruments and writes music. She is portrayed as the talented + sincere one in the group
Both are my bias in respective groups but i cant see YG picking Miyeon over Rosé
I truly believe by mentor eyes, ROSE was a sure in also. Honestly based on the two videos leaked, she was the top in both dancing, singing and aura! I am not a vocal coach but i could see she was the most stable out of all of them, even when she was dancing hard

In my opinion it was never a decision between Jisoo or Miyeon, it was either OT4 or OT5 and Miyeon was on the line. Shes so more much talented now, but in both videos she was clearly behind OT4
Also, pre debut Jisoo was POPULAR she appeared in dramas, mvs, was the most talked about along with Jennie, she was a sure in. Also, back then having the God level tire visuals was a key in any girl group, and an acting idol too. So it was always Jisoo in.
I always wonder why Jinny was cut, she fit the BP vibe so well, and was clearly on par talent/visual wise!

Performances are seen as a big picture, everything should be balanced from backup to group dancers. Center is the part that needs to have more energy/ diffrent aura so that it is drawn to. They practice the Performance multiple times so they should know the level of energy to give.
but atleast they are giving effort. so i put it above underperforming by miles lol. However, it does throw off the overall balance of the show

TBH i didn't listen to much bg i like the fresh and cute concept for BG and most of BG doesn't do this type of song.
But Riize really stand out for me this year, they started the year really strong with Love 119
I have high hopes for riize, i watched a couple stages and they seem to have this 2nd gen bg vibe

Girl Groups-
This is partly because of the dispute but also, I'm glad they released Supernatural cuz Right Now has been on repeat ever since.
This spot would've gone to aespa if not for the fact that I actually enjoyed all of le sserafim's releases this year. We got so much and Pierrot are most def joining Impurities, The Great Mermaid, and fearnot between you, me and the lamppost as my absolute favorite lsf songs.
They owned it with Whiplash. Armageddon was actually phenomenal. The jaw of mine that dropped months ago is still dropping all the way the earth's core and i doubt it'll stop there.
Boy Groups-
1. SEVENTEEN
Love, Money, Fame was not it but Maestro was amazing. Spell and Last Night were absolute bangers!
2. BOYNEXTDOOR
I never expected to take interest in 5th Gen groups but their energy has blown me away on multiple occasions.
3. RIIZE
Seunghan conflict aside, I'm obsessed with Sohee's part on Boom Boom Bass. Nothing will ever change that.
We got so much is one of my top ssera songs too! The whole Easy era damnnn they slayed so hard in it. 4 songs are among my all time favourite ssera sonsg, with Swan Song being among the best overall 😭

They're a special group and keep my attention more than others.
Heya was my favorite title this year. Didn't hit big for a lot, but boy.... I loved it.
And Wonyoung is a Princess and that always tips the scales as a fanboy has to fanboy.
Wonyoung this year was amazing! Her stages are always so whimsical. Fairytale princess vibes 🥰

3. Lesserafim
Aespa are a big surprise for me. I usually was not their audience at all, I check them cause I like the members but the sequence of Supernova - Up - Whiplash gave me a Whiplash lol. Whiplash is a top10 all time song for me!!
although I ult Lesserafim, they come in 3rd place this year for me, Easy era was amazing in every sense but crazy was lacking. Babymonster are shaping to be an ult of me too because damn, the members are lovable and songs are clicking for me!

I wonder why akp thinks aespa lacks in stage presence? To me they are among the best. Very lovely on stage and you will not get bored watching each Individual fancam, lipsync is shown in all of the industry but if you chevk their concerts they sing live pretty often and are amazing at it.
Individually, aespa members are stronger in vocal and dance however NJ talents are evenly distributed among the members so no member seems lacking which is a very good thing when on stage and an advantage to them!

For hybe to move pass this the whole management needs to change. Its not one person, the managment are working for their personal profits only they are not investing in the company in the long term. They have had multiple multiple opportunities to save the Hybe name but they fumbled each time, even with the most common sense actions.

In terms of music, both are delivering ngl
But in 4th, i was only really invested outside of music in Itzy ( and later lesserafim )
In 5th i am really interested in many outside of music so far! BM, Meovv, KIOF, for Illit im really enjoying Minju content
There seems to be potential here I would not dismiss the generation yet!

They as a group are cohesive, i really like their songs, (titles are a hit or miss but b sides? Gold) and their performances are top notch. Their content is amazing and what made me a stan, each one is so unique also a d i love their dynamic. They remind me of Fx in some way. (Also was one of my fav groups in 2nd gen)
Never understood the criticism of (having no identity) because they sure do. Having different sounds for comebacks does not mean no identity. Many groups did that before them, and many will after.
