ningning is lagging and glitching with their choreos, esp with Girls choreo. she also has the same expression with blinking or smiling. I was bored at their 3rd perf. I watched their fancams myself in this era and honestly only Karina was interesting to watch, it looks like she is the only natural performer in the group, not the trained one. but Winter has improved recently too, let's not even talk about Giselle.

Lol, these comments acting like the popular 4th gen idols are amazing at Variety. Wonyoung and Karina aren't exactly the most exciting people either.
Being good at Variety is people like Yuqi. Ability to riff and joke quickly. Miyeon is charming and decent, but she's no better or worse then any of the others. The real variety stars are people like Yuqi and Yena etc, and none of them are "it girls" by this forum's silly standard.
Karina is very entertaining, goofy and sarcastic. If you have a bubble, you know it. She keeps her image on the shows and I guess a lot of things are also edited from their vids because she's on hand with the government.

I think I understand what you are talking about. If aespa and nmixx have the best vocals in their gen, of the two groups only Lily and Karina's vocals seem to have a soul and give a dramatic feeling, the other members just throw notes left and right or scream. The rest of the groups are just very below average and I am not even able to listen to bgs. I miss the emotional connection, I miss the texture. It all feels so empty.
+ maybe it's just a lack of a creative hand over what they create? you know, when I watched bts from the studio of some older groups, they usually tried different versions, looked for that connection, shared their feelings. But now it really isn't there? The producer simply tells them his requirements and the idol has no right to say anything. Maybe that's the problem?

yes, I sit down with popcorn every day and scroll through twitter stans. it feels like a circus and for free.

vocally they're all good, Giselle and Karina have some rap flow, they dance just fine, neither of them is on Lia level so what's the problem? they lack sp but honestly their songs are hard to emote and their choreography lacks dynamics every time so they can't even hide it. maybe she brings them down but it's because of her behavior and the way she treats other cultures. overall it's not THAT bad.

hard to say, especially when stylists aren't being fair. NingNing makeup is the most eye-catching, but Giselle's hair does the job too. Winter has both. I think it's hard to judge, but when it comes to the variety and embodiment of the concept, it's always Karina for me. Giselle has the same sensual face, like every time. NingNing is just intense and no variety, totally couldn't handle dct. Winter smiles or winks, but that's about it. I think Karina is the most expressive and doesn't look like she's struggling with the choreography in the more difficult sections, but I don't think she likes girls choreography honestly lmao

aespa now joins blackpink, twice and red velvet as the only k-pop gg in history to appear on spotify global daily top artist 200 chart, 23m views in 24 hours, debuted in top 10 of melon, debuted #1 on worldwide itunes album chart. I think they are doing really really REALLY well in Korea, China and Japan but they are doing fine in other countries as well. they are known and their numbers are not surprising tbh. you blinks just see them as a threat and y'all keep coming on aespa achievements with fraud agenda..moving like armys in 2018 against blackpink, so funny.

i mean she stuck with A4s to dreams come true era, which she had surprisingly mastered before joining sm. i don't feel like she had a good dance and vocal training in her trainee days but it looks like she got a better vocal training since dct thanks to BoA cuz she pick some singing lines for karina and people seemed to want more of her tone. not to mention dancing, but from what i saw, her bubble cover was pretty good. she improved alot. I think she was supposed to be their main rapper, but then giselle came and karina was left with nothing.

I personally don't understand all this conversation around stage presence, like man, I don't give a shit. for concerts, I'm barely able to see these artists on stage, I'm having fun, maybe I even drank alcohol and that's all. what counts for me is a good beat, something lively with good vocals. I don't care if the artist is standing, lying or doing a backflip on stage, why are you making such a deal out of it?
additionally i'm not sure if it was THAT bad. for example karina, she was completely captivating, she is versalite and I love how she was passive-aggresive in the LTS stages just like the song, she does a lot of small facial expressions, but you are all blind to see it. however, I still have the impression that she secretly hates these choreos, so in got the beat when she was in her element, she gave the best performance in her life. the same goes for Giselle, she has amazing sensual and feminie vibes if she wants to, her facial expressions are hot as fuck. it's not like Savage, Next Level or Illusion are songs that are easy to emote, from the theme, concept and choreo.
aespa's choreographies are quite laconic, something more of a Winter style than Karina or NingNing. Giselle will fight anyway. I hope that with 'Girls' comeback it will change, then we can talk about stage presence, because so far these girls can't even feel their movements.

i think it works a bit like with natural beauty, some people are just born prettier, you can't influence it.
you can have idols with the same traits like pretty or handsome, talented with nice personality, good fanservice and more but some of them just stand out from the crowd as if they were born for something. 'stand out member' is objectively the most marketable in Korea as well as outside of Korea, which mainly concerns visuals cuz they simply get people's attention effortlessly such as Lisa, Jungkook, Wonyoung, Joy, Sana or Karina. when I look at the group and I have in my head "when they all enter the room most people will only be looking at that one member" then I know this is the so called "stan attractor"

it depends on the point of view, because female choreos are more on the open style side lately and idols are trained different, so it's probably more relative anyway. i will go with Jiwoo nmixx, Hikaru and Dayeon kep1er.
a bit lower we have Onda everglow, Moon Sua Billie, Ryujin, Yeji itzy and then Jinni, Kyunjin nmixx and Karina from aespa on the same level.
*the second category just can get better or has small technical issues

Since when did Karina start towering over the other members, did she have a growth spurt or something?
she has always been the tallest but the stylists put special insoles into shoes for the other members, which makes their legs appear longer and they look taller. Giselle and Winter are very similar in height, so look how Karina still had to bend with flat shoes when Giselle has a large sole lmao. Ningx2 is 7 centimeters smaller than Karina.

you may be incredibly talented, but if a company can't use your talent well, how is it really different from people who aren't that talented? music is a priority, not hignotes you can hit or good dance technique. look at aespa or nmixx, they have amazing talents and would easily achieve the same as IVE if their companies managed them well but their companies are stubborn and illogical with their goals. do they deserve success? just like any other group that has worked hard to become an idol.
