Have you ever gone through one of your faves retiring or disbanding?

Fortunately, all my faves are still in a group including SNSD

Infinite haven't officially disbanded but they've slowly trickled away over the recent years

Newer k-pop fans don't even know of their existence and it kinda makes me sad

I wouldn't call them my faves but around the time I used to follow monsta x (watching their contents and having their songs in my playlist) Wonho left. Wonho wasn't my favorite member (I think?) but I did lose some interest but that's more because I like their older songs more

I've been into kpop for a long time, so yes. I still listen to their music, but I don't follow the non-music activities, so I don't consider myself a stan anymore.

It does feel like this is Big Bang's farewell, so I understand the trepidation.

Seemed like back in 2017-2019 every single group I liked disbanded or stopped performing - the lesson being that it's important not to like any one group too much, for they can vanish at any time.

K-Pop is designed to be transitory, so ten year groups are becoming very rare.

Honestly it's more hurtful when your faves don't have any actives but there is no disbandment announcements. It's like neverending false hope

All my life with kpop I've only known disbandment, huge popularity dip or retirement. S.E.S., 1Tym, H.O.T., Baby VOX, Wonder Girls, you name it.

I essentially live life assuming my faves may retire or disband at a moment's notice.

Bol4 separated and it was kinda sad because the solo releases after just does not feel the same.

Blackpink - I believe this is pretty close to what it feels like to stan a disbanded group, there really isnt much difference at this point...I suppose psychologically, since theyre not disbanded, we know there is future comebacks but otherwise it' pretty close. So I can't understand how you must feel....

But as Twice's contract comes near an end, I'm starting to feel nervous...I'm sure one day I'll be in your exact position and won't know how to feel.
