What kpop song would you advice to listen first to a non kpop fan?

I would say Rose's Gone because it's in all English and sounds like a Western song (in the best way possible), so that might be good if you want to ease them into it. You could also then clarify right off the bat that some K-Pop songs are in English as well. Have a great day/night!

Enhypen's The Invitation and Whiteout for indie pop fans.

Stray Kids' 3rd Eye for some rap fans.

Any of the second gen songs as they are so iconic and usually a good introduction.

start with something like all in English like Dynamite since it's pretty easy to understand and it's a good way to get someone into kpop

I always ask what their favorite songs are, and then tailor a request to the kind of music they already like. DGNA has pretty consistently been well received.

1. HYUNA -- Bubble Pop (actually was played in a lot of English Areas)

2. 2ne1 -- Fire, seriously such a good debut

If I know this person is into a specific genre I would give:

KARA -- Step

Wonder Girls -- Nobody

Shinee -- Replay (but don't show them the lyrics)

Big Bang -- Haru Haru

BEAST -- Beautiful/VIXX -- Shangri-La

BTS -- Fire

Miss A -- Bad Girl Good Girl

SNSD -- INTW for the more slow song listeners. Gee may be more iconic but I find ITNW a better starter.

Ballads:

Korea is REALLY good with ballads, I would give them IU -- My Sea or AKMU -- How Can I Love the Heartbreak, You're the One I Love

a fun song I bet many people would like it also

Funny thing is... this is indeed one of the first kpop songs I listened to after Gee
