Personally i liked this title track more than Maria so I wonder what happened here.

I can understand why her single didn’t do well in Korea but how her sales dropped when she got a huge hit even wheein got her best sales record

The charts, the numbers, this is probably one of the weakest years KPOP has had charts wise in forever. Barring a couple of exceptions.

I thought other years were bad, but yeah, groups and solos are declining left and right.

OMG are the exception in korea and their breakthrough is recent, joy's song did ok not really a hit. I should have specified girl groups. Album sales are also not the point unless you are implying they mostly come from korea, rv increased their sales but queendom flopped for how long their hiatus was

also mamamoo has been badly recently ( other factors like internal issues with the company or the chinese incident ect)

they had bigger albums sales than before

RV's Queendom might not have been Psycho, but if it's digital charting you're talking about, it peaked as high as and higher than TWICE's songs this year according to Gaon, on top of that RV's solo members did very fine too in album sales as well as charting (for Joy).

That being said, it's good to see 3.5/4th gen groups rising to top tier heights and make themselves known as the new, upcoming idol elite

SG pre-orders were happening at the same time as Guilty Pleasure so sales got split. Add the fact that Chinese fanbases are more regulated now and don't support RBW.

The company has gotten super lax with the marketing too. Many didn't even know she was coming back. Promo period is actually over now with only 3 music shows and 1 TV appearance. So yeah, they didn't exactly set her up well.

But queendom cracked 200M a week ago and it’s not that good when the song reached the top 10 faster than AF

As for hwasa. Theres a multitude of reasons. Chinese moo's have been boycotting her album but she's topped the chinese qq chart tho and is doing well in china

Rbw did bare minimum for her promotions to the point where people didn't know she was having a comeback.

Comeback aside. Hwasa is still as popular as ever landing cfs every other day and is probably trending on a Korean forum as we speak. Don't celebrate too soon love's.

after reading a few comments, I have decided that the poor performance of Hwasa's recent release does not reflect on hwasa herself. Rather it is truly based on factors outside of her control.
