I mean it's felt weird for awhile now. Heck I was in middle school when I bought T-ara's debut album Absolute First when it came out. Half the groups I grew up listening to are disbanded or don't have the full members anymore. I feel old and I wonder where the time went.

Kinda crazy but we still have many 2nd gen groups reuniting and coming back recently? T-ara soon, then there are always rumors about SNSD. Sistar released a duet between hyorin and dasom, after school and 9muses had special stages on mmtg.

SHINee, 2pm, 2am, beast, CNBlue, B1A4, SUJU, etc all had fully promoted comebacks this year too

for example literally every GG covers or practices to or trains to ITNW from SNSD...

It was a huge dating scandal apparently. I think IU got a lot of hate from the BG's fans, i'm not sure if the BG member himself got hate as well. I dont know if the Korean GP cared or not, since obviously it didnt hurt IU's career.

Previous gen is always gonna be underrated. I've seen YouTube comments calling H.O.T. underrated or undervalued.

I think there are still remnants of 2nd gen still existing in the form of solos rather than groups though, Like IU, Taeyeon, Sunmi, Hyuna all are known today I would say, Although I can't think of a prominent male solo that's still pretty popular today
