It was alright but I was expecting more.
It was predictable.
Pros:
- Great acting from the Korean cast
Cons:
- No closure for Ali’s family
- Ending was not good.
- Lots of plot holes.
- The relationships between the cast felt rushed.
- Cho Sang Woo giving up in the end made no sense with his character. This is how I felt with Gi-hun too. How he turned his back on his daughter again at the airport, even though his whole dignity was to have this money to provide for his daughter and seek custody. That was who he is throughout the show. He was never a hero or a saviour type. I don’t know why they tried to make him one.
- The white VIPs were soooooooooo cringeworthy and had horrible dialogues.
- Saebyeok dying wish was for Gi-hun to take care of her brother. He waited over a year to meet and find Saebyeok’s brother to finally give the kid away to Cho Sang Woo’s mother - which also made no sense. The mother has no clue who that child is and it’s weird how she didn’t question what happened to her own son, Cho Sang Woo.
- Gi-hun giving all his money to Cho Sang Woo’s mom.
