Dont think theyre top5 but top3 actually, but this list includes them so NCT definitely. They sold 5.1m last year and are looking at more than 10m in 2021 + dream could probably reach top 10 on melon100 so they've got the 2nd best charting from all idol bgs also yt views are 3rd i think among active bgs

Honestly if you ask me about music wise who left a bigger impact, I would say Red Velvet.
Their songs has a bigger impact than the other groups stated even though they may sell less.

seventeen is top 10 Best selling of all time in Korea.. coming for a very low company and top 5 best sellers Korean music acts of all time in Japan....
They are definitely top 5.... soon to have over 10M physicals sales, 4 Million sellers EPs not just in GAON... but HANTEO... 4/10 best selling Korean albums in Japan Music Chart history are seventeen albums....

5. SEVENTEEN at 5 because of their amazing sales, touring numbers and Japanese dominance, they might not have huge digitals but they have decent hits under their belt.
6. Red Velvet at 6 because despite having huge digitals, recently a exponential increase on physical sales in my opinion is not enough to overtake SVT overall achievements.
7. NCT at 7 because their growth is insane specially in physical sales that’s correct but still is kinda recent and they don’t have any hit comparable with SVT and RV biggest hit.

I think it’s Seventeen. They don’t get enough credit, esp. here on akp, There are only a handful of groups that are million sellers, let alone several times, as well as their strong sales in Japan and digitals.
NCT are doing great and have been steadily growing, but I think if you look at the numbers, it’s Seventeen here.

Despite being the youngest, Digitally they are still much bigger all the Bgs mentioned and can beat the GGs. All of their singles were top 5 in gaon including 2 no.1s. NCT had their first top 5 in 2020 and svt are still yet to get theirs.
Physically, they were got 3x platinum in 2018 something no groups except BTS and Exo managed until 2020.
They were literally competing with Exo for the no. 2 during their time with Daniel being the most popular idol in Korea beating the likes of Jimin, sana, jennie etc.
Also the fact that they are the youngest ones on the list and did all this in one and half years is crazy.

seventeen? that group only has thirsty fans that buy anything from them but cant listen to their song... any boygroup sell 1 million albums these days. no one will remember their impact or what they sounds like 1 year after they disband.
