both hit r kinda unexpected but which one for you is the most unexpected one ?
which hit is more unexpected : ROLLIN vs NEXT LEVEL

Is it even a question?
A totally nugu song from mind you 2017 that miraculously goes viral when the group is a few days away from disbandment, that eventually catapulted the group to become the hottest GG in the country and the song proceeds to become the GG song with the most hourly PAKs against competition like BTS/IU
That's the song I'm voting for.
Like no way anyone can argue with me you can try, but ultimately you will F.A.I.L

Based on just the songs themselves, Rollin is a song I would expect to do well while Next Level doesn't seem like it would do well, so Next Level performing well is a surprise in that regard. However, Rollin doing well is obviously surprising because it was released in 2017 and came from a group that had pretty much 0 traction while Next Level was released recently by an SM gg. Both unexpected hits imo but Rollin more unexpected overall.

Tell me, Who expected Kwangya Pop (Naevis Calling) can be a smash hit in SK?? :-D
Especially with so many Kwangyaverse terminologies in the lyrics.
They are the first group that did that.
Rollin has the same trajectory like Exid Up and Down /Momoland Boom Boom, so there're high chance few years from now there'll be another nugu gg that rises from the ashes like them. That's history repeats again
So of course the one who never in the history books is the Unexpected one.
-
Next Level but a pleasant surprise.
-
-
rollin obviously
-
Rollin of course. It’s not even a new song.
-
Rollin is more unexpected, aespa was expected to get their hit song but i didnt think it would be Next Level
-
-
Song-wise, if both songs would be released by the same artist, Rollin is the type of song you expect to be a hit compared to an experimental song like Next Level. But by whom-wise, Rollin was so unexpected. I know the original 'brave girls' members changed but it's insane that the group was from 2nd gen and was still struggling to the point of disbanding (Rollin actually was a hit before but it blew up and got even bigger years later). Rollin saved a group from disbandment and it is one of the most successful Kpop songs. It's so unexpected.
As for NL, many people expected Aespa to blow up one day (they literally check every criterion needed for a big group) and a lot of them wanted to stop it from happening so it's unexpected that a song as experimental as Next Level blew up with all that resistance. I am not saying it's all because of Aespa but it was a pleasant surprise as someone said especially when you saw a lot of people wishing for rookies to flop.

???
rollin 🗿🗿
-
Rollin I knew Next Level would be a national hit first listen
-
-
of course Rollin.
A nugu group allready disbanding with no promotion and a 4 year old song against the newest Big3 Group with a new song and proper promotion. Are you really serious?
Next Level may did better than many would have tought but its not that big of a surprise.

Inb4 someone blames MYs for comparing

Rollin. People were aware aespa will do well, maybe they didn't expect a national hit so early especially with their concept but still, there were many high expectations for them. While brave girls are a group nobody knew, on edge of disbandment, nobody could ever guess they'll be the ones to blow up so much with a hit song released years ago
-
-
Rollin'
-
Rollin of course. No one was expected Brave Girls anymore.
-
-
Obviously Rollin' - what a daft question
-
-
-
-
-
Because my biased ass will have voted next level should I be ashamed? Yes am I? No
Be ashamed bc if i saw NL was losing by a large margin i would vote for them too kkkkkkkk
-
-
-
Rollin
Make a poll
-
Rollin of Brave Girls, because they are nugus(?) from a nugu company(?). But they deserved it because the song is so good
Meanwhile for Next Level, despite for people calling it weird, I actually find the song catchy from the first listen. Also, they are a group from Big 3. I think the only surprising part would be is that they are still rookies

No this isnt a throl thread
BG have a viral video , its been viral and they slowly charting , step by step . Eventho the viral video is unexpected , them charting at the top is kinda expected the moment we saw the video hitting 10M
While for Aespa , they are rookie releasing non public song and their previous song isnt doing well on chart . They released NL and boom its quickly climb into TOP5
-
Rolling obviously

But you forgot that aespa is a SM girl group. Not just a rookie. While Next Level isn’t super public friendly their success also isn’t shocking.
-
i think a lot of ppl missed the point
The viral video of BG is unexpected , but the charting on top is expected . The video going viral first before BG hitting #1 on Melon, also its take MONTHS before BG really get all those paks , also with all the promotion and variety show
This is not a throll thread btw , im not a troll (anymore atleast -_-")
-
Rolling, I did not even know Brave Girls existed, but I know aespa even before they debuted.
-
It's obviously Rollin.
-
-
Hmmm, which was more unexpected
A four-year old song from a 10 year old group that was literally days away from disbandment which ended up getting more perfect all kills than any girl group in Kpop history
or a comeback from highly anticipated big 3 label girl group that already had a music show win.
Gee I wonder
