I agree Everglow song was not as good as their previous ones, but it is still good song.

It's become a guilty pleasure for me at this point, but the lyrics are just so cringe. Dynamite's lyrics didn't make me cringe as much. Also the word "butter" just makes me squeamish and the phrase smooth like butter is even worse.

For me, it's the opposite. I liked Butter and its lyrics (even if they are simple phrases it kinda went well with the song imo) but disliked Permission to Dance because of shallow messaging and delivery or simply giving me the vibes of forced positivity. Also, because Ed Sheeran worked on it, I didn't have any expectations in the first place.

Time for Me I wouldn't consider a bad release but I can definitely see how it would be disappointing especially considering the circumstances.. disagree on Alcohol Free

Celebrity was definitely IU's weakest release this year. I listened to it once and not again. Luckily Coin and Lilac made up for it by a lot

i agree with Butter. Their english title tracks are just not it.

I don't have many disappointments so far. The only ones I can think of are:

- aespa 'Next Level'. Black Mamba didn't make me a fan but was good enough for me to anticipate what SM would come up with next for aespa. Then I learned Next Level was gonna be a remake song which left me a little bummed. But the OST song was a good basis to build upon so why not? Except SM didn't really expand on it the way I thought they would and the final result is IN MY OPINION lesser than the sum of its parts, which is quite a rare occurence.

- Dreamcatcher [Dystopia: Road to Utopia]. I started listening to Dreamcatcher with their Dystopia full length album last year. And on top of a killer title track, this album had many excellent b-sides: Red Sun, Black or White... all of them basically. Their earlier stuff was top notch too, with PIRI being a favorite of mine; also Sleepwalking, Deja Vu, etc.

But since their 'Boca' comeback, I'm kinda unsatisfied with their albums. I have no problem with 'Odd Eye' which I like very much but the b-sides are lacking in my opinion. I can feel Leez & Ollounder try to mix shake up a little which is fine but their newer stuff just doesn't click with me as much as their earlier works.
