Name me pabo but I would rather see BTS collab with GFriend, or Blackpink collab Treasure than some international bs...

  • Just saying... :ideac:

I would seriously rather see some amazing song and high budget MV with BTS & Gfriend, or with Blackpink & Treasure, or with Red Velvet with SuperM, or aespa with NCT, or whatever within-agency collaboration than some international bullshit.

Name me pabo if you want, don't care. :starec:

  • I don't think Hybe cares much about what their fans want at this point. It's just about maximisation of profit and acquiring new fans around the world. In the case of BTS it also falls in line with what BTS fans mainly want.

The fandom cares a lot about stuff like views and charting well. From an outsider perspective seemingly even more than about the members and the actual music. Though this is sadly the case for most kpop fandoms these days.

In the future you will see a lot more of these shallow collaborations between western stars and kpop stars. For western stars it's an amazing opportunity to get hold of the asian market. In the past you could count the western singers that are also successful in asia on two hands.

  • justin bieber is huge lol in the us :froghype: it would greatly benefit their career and bts would get more recognition in the us :peperich:

I totally understand your point of view, just saying that it wouldn't "hurt" to be back to the roots, to the core, for one collab. Especially if we think that in 2020 end year shows/festivals we barely get any big, proper collab stages.

I know it won't be "trendy", "hip" or whatever, as well if they would do 5 or 6 minutes long MV, but I think this kind of song could become something unique even for Koreans, and might chart well.

As well as I would also love to see some MV filmed in New Zealand or Australia when they dealt with corona well, and people are safe, and well scenery is much different.

  • Honestly, I really...want a coed group. However doing it with kpop idols is going to be a fanwar disaster. I was excited for KARD but later their music wasn’t my thing, and now w the bullying incident :/. But imagine a joint coed group w a boy and girl group idol or something. Troublemaker was wild, but even the most platonic song would have people shipping or something in this age.

RM just had a feature in a korean artist album, suga did so features.

Bts international collabs also didn't include like the biggest stars all the time - steve, lauv and max are not that big a listers.

I dunno from where you are getting your outsider view but the fandom literally hates any collab simply cause the boys get less lines, but we are okay if that's what they want. you are pushing some forced narrative here. we as a fandom have seen some great hits and some normal ones , I don't think any army critizes bts music for being less successful.

  • Yes, you are a pabo in BTS's case.

I would rather want a "BTS×Alan Walker" collab. It will be national anthem for people with brain who want to chase their dream no matter what.

In collaboration that are intended to become legendary, the ideology comes 1st.

Just think BTS singing "On My way", " Alone", "Darkside", " Faded"...

My teenage was with Alan walker's music & still now... I would love to see my Teenage fav music to meet with my Adulthood fav music.

    A " BTS×Alan Walker" >>>>>>>>> the rest music industry.

  • No. Armys do not gatekeep BTS.

BTS do collabs with people they want to do it with. Everyone knows JK is a big fan of Justin. This rumor collab should not be surprising.

J Hope paid a whole $2.7M to have a remake of chicken noodle soup. I doubt he had profits in mind when he did this collab with Becky. The boys do whatever they want and armys give full support in whatever they do. If you think this makes us success stans, then so be it

BTS collabs with South Korean Artist every year. So where is the point?

If I am not worng Heize, IU, Suran, Giriboy, eAeon all are south Korean Artist.

BTS knows how to keep adhered to their roots.

I am rooting for another Suga & a female k-artist on his new mixtape.

And Group×Group not my cup of tea. So many people on one song. Dizzy pizzy.

  • yes so you have your own opinion, and things that you like and enjoy like member from group A collabo with member from group B

well this happens all the time, this is why I pointed that those bigger group n group collaborations are needed.

  • Just give us a Lizkook collab ffs, there are literally MILLIONS of us that want it.

If it has to be a Western artist, how about the greatest rock and roll artist to have ever fucking lived.

    Bruce Springsteen.

The man is under Columbia as well, and i saw Army posting pics of Yoongi learning the guitar.

He is the only person i would ever call my "idol", imagine my favorite musician ever with the biggest Korean group ever.

    Not gonna happen.

BTS don't need to collab with a whole kpop group to prove how much they love their roots.

It is not needed & thankfully it won't happen.

    "BTS×Alan Walker"- just one day.

    Suga×A female k-artist coming soon.

  • I don't want BTS to collab with other groups (kpop or non-kpop) just because of the line distribution. I'd rather they collab with soloist (which they have been doing so...)

Why do you think BTS became this big to become the world's no. 1 act and charting all over the world ? Because the fans support their 'music'. Duh.

Actually, every hot take i make has some kernel of truth behind it lol. I dont outright troll. I just like to exaggerate or phrase things in ways to get people's juices flowing.

I honestly think a Lizkook collab would break the Internet and wouldnt we ALL want to see it happen? This forum would be crazy for weeks lol. Not to mention how one is my ultimate bias and the other is the only idol worthy of her X( .

As for Bruce, every word i say about him is 100 percent genuine and not exaggerated. The man writes literal rock operas and his performances are legendary, there is no greater singer-songwriter in modern music history.

Although on a side note, i just found out that the only other dude i would consider as Springsteen's equal in terms of songwriting died a week ago. I cried a little last night :crys: The biggest tragedy is that nobody knows him but he wrote megahits like Making Love Out of Nothing at All, Total Eclipse of the Heart, I Would Do Anything For Love, and this banger from Celine.

I think you are talking about your GG YG. The only collab that they have is with big western stars - Lady Gaga, Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez. Have BP done any local collabs? Or help promote or suggest Korean acts? BTS does it all the time.

So please don’t project your dissatisfaction of how YG (that’s you lol) manage their groups on BTS. Thank you very much.
