Firstly, there's no official confirmation or anything concrete that affirms they ever dated. Secondly, if they did date, he didn't "wait." It's not like they saw each other all the time between the first time they met and the moment they were alleged to be dating. Just take a look at their schedules during those years; you'll see they were all busy with their own things. So while it's still odd if they had dated, it's not like he groomed her the way people portray it. It's likelier they met up at some point during the pandemic and decided to date.
If he wanted to wait, they would have dated when she turned 18, but no. We know that didn't happen. He and Jennie both dated other people. Dispatch claimed 2020 was approximately the year they started to date; that means Jennie was about 24 at the time.
You said the Sohee rumors are just that... Rumors. So why do you take it as truth and run with it?

He "likes" just about anything and everything on social media, even if it's hate towards him. I know It's weird, but in Korea, back then, a 19 year old and a 14 year old was not illegal and allowed by law.
This was most likely when she was living in Philippines which used to have an age of consent of 12 years old back then.

Jennie and GD never dated there is not even proof of them together only GD riding on a bike. it was a whole story they just came up with and ran away with it. Not to mention dispacth is not a credible source just saying. And I remember that jennie lowkey debunked it on an interview later

As for this part, Asian culture is a lot more forgiving about this kind of thing. They might find it "not ideal," but they won't cancel people for it.
I feel like they don't quite understand the psychological effects that grooming can have on an underage person. They don't understand that trauma the same way those of us in the West do. The West isn't perfect when it comes to mental health either, but at least there's more of an understanding of it.
