Do you consider yourself a casual or hardcore K-Pop fan?

I have a fave but even I don't watch most of the contents. I don't think I've really sat down and watch any other groups contents. I listen to kpop. But it's usually a hey google play kpop music set it forget it. I check out bop or flop threads for a listen, other wise I wouldn't really seek out groups music. So yeah pretty much I'm hard core

The last time I felt my posts on a forum were meaningful is when I learned RBW sometimes visited the official Mamamoo thread on OH and presumably showed some posts to Mamamoo every now and then.

I thought hardcore would be like going to concerts, buying photocards, collecting albums, joining streaming farms etc.

I am pretty hardcore for Blackpink, but rest of groups I fall into casual category

I think casual compared to many. Though I am hardcore for BABYMONSTER, STAN THE 5th GEN LEADERS

I'd say casual because I don't deep dive into researching artists' lives.

I'm hardcore for BP & EXO. Casual for kpop as a whole

Tbh last few years I'm more kdrama hardcore, rather than kpop. But back in 2013-2019 I was hardcore kpop

In that case I'd say I'm hardcore based on money I've spent, distance I've travelled, inconvenience I've put myself through and time I've used on kpop related things.

I don't have the encyclopaedic knowledge or fascination with numbers that some other hardcore fans do, but I express my hardcore in other ways.

I think it's more that I'd put myself in another tier between casual and hardcore. Like if we used you or some other users as the standard of hardcore, I'd put myself a tier below. I'm often surprised how much many of you know outside of your own faves.

Casual, but I guess if people are a members in this forum it's hard to say they are only "casual fans of kpop" because joining a forum is a bit to step over the line of "casual". So I guess maybe a bit more than casual, but not hardcore.

Well... in 2020, I became less casual.

And I sometimes feel like I might be too hardcore of an ATEEZ fan.

I guess I was also kinda hardcore kpop fan back in 2012, when I was new to it.

i listen to most kpop that is releasedatleast once . 95% of the albums i buy are kpop. my faves are mostly kpop.

Ig I fall into hardcore for SKZ and even Aespa, though looking at these fandoms I really am nowhere close to many of them when it comes time, money, etc. spent. Regardless, they are 2 of my favorite artists and I listen to them a lot, watch performances and enjoy talking about them.

You mentioned fans being unaware on Reddit, but Tiktok is crazy. On so much kpop-related things I get, there's fans being completely oblivious to everything and anything about their faves. They'll see a clip from the newest comeback and comment "omg where is this posted??" like WDYM it's on the main YT channel?? Then next breath they'll spread the weirdest untrue info lol. I realize a lot of them must be kids, but it's quite something. They genuinely have no idea what's going on at any point in time it seems.

Was hardcore for SNSD when they were acting, high casual for most others ggs from 2g until mid 3g. Now I'm pretty out of Kpop for the last few years, haven't directly listened much to Kpop, only whatever is popular or making the rounds on YouTube or tiktok like Aespa or rose.

I'm hardcore for kpop in general when it comes to discography. Kpop is the majority of what I listen to daily.

I am a casual KPop fan but most people will call me a super hardcore iu follower.

-i dont go to concerts

-i dont stream for views unless its illit

-i buy 1-2 copies of an album at max, but i might buy multiple versions

-i dont watch content unless its background noise for when im working

-i listen to albums as soon as they come out, assuming i know the group

-ive stayed up until 2 in the morning waiting for an album to drop

-i follow groups' social media

I have been stanning BP since their debut days and i don't think i have leff out any content of them...preety much my social media journey started with them.

Well, I bought all Chaeyeon's albums, and have a fanclub membership that can only theoretically be of any use to me in the next year. And spent way to much time on this forum. Guess I'll vote for hardcore though I'm not one for streaming.

Hardcore stan only for Stray Kids, to be really honest. I love other groups I'm a fan of, but to a lesser extent. And I casually listen to many groups.

The only things I'm a hardcore stan of as much as Stray Kids is Taylor Swift and Hunter x Hunter
