BLACKPINK‘s Lisa is accused of using connections to land a major magazine feature.
On November 13, the American media outlet Vanity Fair published its 2025 The Hollywood Issue online. Each year, the outlet publishes what is described as a “celebration of cinematic excellence” and features around a dozen actors making waves in Hollywood.
Last year’s edition included established top actors Bradley Cooper, Natalie Portman, and Pedro Pascal while honoring rising actors like Lily Gladstone, Da’Vine Joy Randolph, and Jenna Ortega for their work in specific projects.
The 2025 edition did not hold back on star power, including stars like Zendaya, Glen Powell, Zoe Saldaña, Nicole Kidman, and Dev Patel. However, many K-Pop fans were surprised to see a familiar face in the icon spread — BLACKPINK‘s Lisa!
Her appearance in this magazine is related to her upcoming acting debut in The White Lotus, which will premiere sometime next year. Fans got their first look at her character just days ago, though it sparked mixed feelings.
While this is a major feature for Lisa, some netizens were not impressed by her inclusion.
On a forum post discussing the feature, netizens pointed out the longer resumés of the other actors, saying that Lisa, who has not made her acting debut yet, did not fit in.
