MEOVV vs izna

My biggest critic towards MEOVV is the fact that their releases are generic, there's no portrait of what makes them stand out in the crowd. And now my biggest crict towards izna is the fact that their sound is dated, tropical house is very 2014 coded.

My extended point of view for MEOVV and the reason why I believe they should be doing better by now even though it's been only 2 months since debut relies on the fact that SK looks forward to X label or Y label next group. Altought they might like artist before their debut, what matters is how their labels are going to debut and promote them. And there are strong expectations for groups debuting under the Big 3 companies, JYP, SM and YG. SK general public expects a hip hop sound, bold attitude and unique style groups from YGE just so they can devour the releases and make them rise on charts, YG gg have always been digital monsters.

And izna girlies, oh my. Altough izna is a nice song, it's very dated. Tropical House was used and almost abused back in 2014-2016. It's such a trademark from the past that it became obsolete. I wish Wake One would've worked on the song to make it more contemporaneous, making the tropical house bits more hip hop or eletronic even. Just not tropical house.

Both groups are absolutely talented and visually gorgeous, therefore remain as just 'potentials' because their labels refuse to study their audiences, map out a release plan on a solid strategy to build a fanbase and then expand and reach for beyond.

It's important to point out that I like both groups and their releases, the critic is towards the poor strategy and lack of touch from their labels.

To answer my own question, I belive debuting with a dated song is worse than debuting with a generic song. Generic just means that's something seen a lot lately. And there's dated, it's so passed its time it's not even competitive.

Oh, there’s the misspelling of Hyuna’s name. I got used to calling her Hee-ooh-na. I only realized it’s suppose to be hyeonah when watching Invincible Youth. And up to this day I still spell her name wrong, it just sounds better to me hihi

When I was just starting my journey as a kpop fan I became obsessed with 2NE1. Back then it was really hard to find videos with subtitles and I wasn’t really used to spilt my attention between watching the screen and reading subtitles. And because of that I would point to CL and tell my sister that the girl name was Dara and just how much I loved her already. It took me about a month to find out that CL’s name wasn’t Dara lol

HYBE is just incapable of managing girl groups. Straight up self-sabotaging, trapped in the GLAM Era. HYBE won't rest until they've destroyed their girls groups.

I'm thankful for BigBang and 2NE1's comeback this year. And for the great kpop year we had music wise, this is the best year since 2014 in my opinion. I'm greatful for NewJeans bravery and thankful for LSF for being awsome. I'm thankful to the BlackPink gals for working hard and releasing straight up bops. I'm thankful for (G)-Idle rawness and for AKP forums.

Very cautios and physically making an effort to let only good thoughts come through. The girls need good energy right now! After midnight parting ways with ADOR and HYBE won't be in the near future around the corner, it's gonna be real. And it's nothing but expected for them to be scared.

I've been expressing in this forum how proud I am of NJ for putting up this fight to defend their souls. We have babies making old men sweat in their cracks, I'm living for that lol Anywho, we still have a legal battle that will define their financial reality for rest of their lives. And this part of the fight relies on law terms and legal analyses, which means the public appeal won't make much of an impact.

Either way, I'm glad they are free to walk on their own. After all that has happened, keep working for ADOR/HYBE would be hell on earth for them.

Looking forward fot their next steps while choosing to shine the light on the amazing outcomes we had and are gonna keep having from this fight. Idols can only benefit from this!

When these girls make a comeback, whether it's under NewJeans name or a another, the world will shake and the internet will break, cause they are gonna be taking everything with them.

If we think they've reached incredible mile stones until now, just wait until they comeback after this ADOR/HYBE chapter.

I love LE SSERAFIM because they've been doing their own thing since day 1! I love (G)-Idle because they are selfmade. I love how daring their concepts are and I love how brave the members. They are such meme machines and yet take their job so seriously. Their songs are exceptional and I recognize that even when I don't fully enjoy a song they put out. They are just legendary!

I love NewJeans because these girls are actually changing the industry. They didn't put their heads down when it was the easiest thing to do. They are putting up the biggest fight the kpop industry has ever seen to defend their work, their image and their value as artists and creative product.

NewJeans is already legendary fo their achievements and for choosing not to sell themselves for less than thy deserve. They have an absolutly flawless discography, the girls are beautiful and talented. And they are fighting against a freaking conglomerate, CEO's are restless because of them. Men are bowing to girls anf that's the shit! NJ has marked the history and is paving the way to a fairer work environment to idols.
