The entertainment industry is built on connections, and it's wise for her to use them. Most entertainers are connected, and it would be foolish not to take advantage of that.

To have a rookie be in this Vanity Fair group is odd because while everyone else has acting careers, she is just starting so I'll bet some of the others internally was probably wondering why she was there. That's what I mean.

And, to my other point and maybe I'm wrong, but I don't think VF ever had inexperienced actors appear with experienced actors for interviews.

I guess it doesn't make sense for her to appear in the Hollywood issue because the actors that appear with her has Oscars, Emmys and box office success. They are seasoned actors.

Exactly this. We don't even really know the extent of her role or quality of her acting, yet she's being put among serious movers and shakers in Hollywood. Now, I don't know and won't comment about the so called connections to her BF getting her there. Nor does that aspect of it really phase me.

I just think it's odd that she's there. If they really wanted a "Young Asian woman making big waves in Hollywood", again, why not choose Anna Sawai? In terms of acting stuff, she's much more important.

That's a fair point and setting her up in that regard. They had Hoyeon last year, but she was in Squid Games, so it made sense. They most likely should have waited a year or 2 to put her on the cover. They most likely included her to get people's attention and tap into a new audience.

I think itll probably be significant because they have her as directly related to the owner of the resort and a secondary role as a n influencer which tells me she has two sides to her storyline.

No one can be a star in Hollywood without connections. Even Legends like Meryl or Pacino had connections, but they proved over the years why they deserved it.

I don't have a problem with using your connections, but when someone can't prove they actually deserve it, meaning, they're talented, it just isn't fair with people whom are actually talented, but don't get any chance. But that's another story.

I can't see Lisa becoming an actor, so I don't think it matters anyway. It's not like she's gonna have a massive role in White Lotus anyway, but if she did good, it's a good start.
