Starship has never been great at promoting individual members
They have more than 10 years of terrible track record to prove that.
They have always just cared about making music making music they don't care about individual popularity

Anyway, Bsh is obviously behind this and he did a good job of ensuring that Lsf members got their own individual promotion and continuous hype from kpop fans, and to some extent, from the public. So, it's not surprising.
I'm actually more curious about who's more popular individually between those three Ive members and Newjeans members.
only in kr and hybe's goal is global anyway. lsf are still doing good in kr though.

In Ive you barely get any promo for other girls but whenever I have seen rei's clips she instantly catches my attention. Its poor marketing and maybe less financial backing on starship part nothing much

If you look at instagram followers, every single member of lsf or aespa individually have more followers than the total of all the &friends combined. Every single member of njs would too, if they had instagrams.
Even each member of itzy who opened their instagrams about 1 week ago, have more followers than the &friend members.

kazuha, yunjin, eunchae and even ex member garam made a lot more noise compared to liz and girls (honestly i can’t recall their names other than liz who is the only one who stands out imo often even more than the izone girls)

I think that just shows how shit Starship is at promoting the IVE members individually. I think HYBE has done an exceptional job of promoting the LSFM girls. From allowing Yunjin to release solo music, having Eunchae be a music show host, and capitalizing off of Kazuha's instant popularity by getting her some really trendy brand deals.
When IVE first debuted, Leeseo was was just as talked about as Wonyoung and Yujin. She's kind of young, but if Starship had gotten her more individual exposure, she would probably be just as popular or more popular than Eunchae, who was the least popular LSFM member up until she got her MC gig and cemented herself as THE 4th gen maknae.
I also feel like Gaeul, Rei, and Liz had their times to shine too, but again, Starship didn't really focus on promoting them. And since then, new groups have debuted and dispersed that massive popularity IVE had upon debut (except for Wonyoung and Yujin who are still going strong).
I also think that LSFM has a huge advantage with international fans because their music and styling appeals a lot to Western fans, so the members probably appear more relevant and popular to international fans since they have not only massive popularity in Korea (along with IVE), but they also have a bigger appeal to Western fans as well.
In 2024, each Le Sserafim members are very trendy and popular.
1) Yunjin WAS on produce48. She should be out of scope for this discussion
2) Mind you, LIZ has gotten the most cheers (both loudest and longest) in recent concerts. Louder cheers than Wonyoung and Yujin. Liz does have a strong fanbase + she ocassionally go viral for her visuals
3) kazuha is well-known for her visual at debut era + her ballet background BUT she never has many hardcore fans. Instead, she is the least-biased member in LSRF. Her photocard value in both KR and JP are the lowest (by this i mean really LOW, almost to unwanted level. E.g. ssamkura at 5000, her could be at 800 yen only). In contrast, Rei which is also Japanese, is super popular with fans in Japan (her PC price is 2nd highest in the group). PC prices are one of the good indicator to gauge hardcore fanbase, another is followers.
4) Gaeul had her viral moment with After Like.
5) Eunchae's hype slowly fade away recently. Her popularity somehow went down and nowadays not many people bias her anymore. Not sure what happened. Her recent lack of screentime + lines in Easy will likelu exacerbate this trend.
With the above, i wouldnt say LSRF's non produce members are more popular than IVE's. They are on par imo
Idk why y'all keep denying it, Sharship doesn't promote the other members well enough and that's facts. Compared with NewJeans, every single member got a brand deal with a well known fashion brand. Le Sserafim, Eunchae is a mf MC. Yunjin releases her own songs.
Rei's self written raps are so good, she could surely release some. Liz is so damn beautiful, and I mean that, she is prettier than any Le sserafim member IMO. They could definitely get her some deal with a makeup brand or skincare brand to let her showcase her beauty. And what about Gaeul? I never see her anywhere? Never talked about in any news articles. I don't have X/Twitter, so if she trends there, idk about it.
