Aespa sales are sinking on billboard 200,there is still hope for them?

Girls debuted with 56,000 units and there’s a problem with Drama shipment that’s why their sales dropped. It’s not alarming.

I have said it before, their songs are just not good enough. A group like Aespa can survive on the hype and the benefit coming from a big company like SME for the first two years or so, but after that even that will help a group if they are not good enough or don't have good enough songs. Feels like Aespa and ITZY have the same kind of problem. And to be fair, with both groups debuting in 2019-2020 when Twice and BP are at their peak, add to that Red Velvet, it mostly feels like both groups is something SME and JYP was debuting not to get at the top, but to have to take a place under the top waiting for debuting other groups later when the domination of Twice and BP is gone. I'm still waiting for SME to launch a new +6 member girl group, mabye we will see it, maybe not.....

Aespa is going to do well for a long time because that's what they are meant and designed to be.

Their concept isn't meant to be just a trend, it's for longevity purposes that's why it takes time to build and for people to get used to as well.

Sales seem low because of shipping issues.

Ever since Kakoa took over SM distribution a lot of the bloat has vanished from their sales. They'll be down in most regions me thinks.

US market? all I see is newjeans, newjeans, newjeans and le sserafim this year.

i feel like it's cause they're not really doing their kwangya concept as much anymore. now they don't really have anything special about them.

Their concept feel a bit messed up from the start, all this talk and hype about virtual characters, what happend with all that?...... I also remember people was so sure they would add one or two more members after Black Mamba. Nope, did not happen. But sure, Aespa is meant to have a bit similar style and concept as BP going after the same audience.

Look at Ive. This comeback, their unique listeners in Korea dropped 75% or 375,000 for 2.5 weeks. Have their sales/fandom/popularity dropped 75% in Korea, or have their real sales always been the same?

It just shows Melon is dead. Nowadays 1 unique listeners equal 2 unique listeners so IVE did 500k uls for Baddie.

Super Shy got 487,822 unique listeners a couple of months ago, so Melon losing 1/2 of its customers in a couple of months isn't plausible.

Either Ive have lost 50-75% of their fandom/popularity in a couple of months, or their ULs #1s PAKs have been scammed.

Super Shy lost ULs like crazy lol. It only lasted 16 weeks in the top 10, ETA even worse probably. Kwinka peaked at over 500k UL a couple months before, I AM peaked at 580k UL in April, UL counts are going down for everyone.

Super Shy still got ~500K a couple of months ago.

I would contend that Super Shy was a good to very good cute song. It just wasn't a great song like Ditto or their debut songs. Thats the difference between viral and not viral when things are 100% organic.

Also this narrative that ULs have dropped for everyone by 50%, except for Ive who dropped 75%, is going to be shattered in less than 2 weeks anyway when BM debuts.

you lost me completely there.

I wont ever put these groups on same league. One was having #1 song + latest song charting at #3 on K chart + consistent big physical seller, and the other has been flopping on domestic charts and currently also underperforming on international streams.

Aespa obviously has the public interest else how to get to top3 LOL. Plus this era they have the best streaming record yet

They complained about pcs, I think SM was released the same postcards for Karina and they didn’t like it so they told SM to change it but as usual SM didn’t listen to them and at last SM changed as soon as Karina bar boycotted and asked for a refund.
