Seriously I said, Nj might become Bp 2.0 and stop attending all these awards show if they got no daesang this year.

As for svt winning the daesang, I think it's because they're the only senior group attending that award show. So, I guess the judges give them that Daesang to respect their seniority and attendance because other senior groups didn't care about that show anymore.

no offence to fans of seventeen, but i question this decision too and hope that this isn't going to be a running theme this award season...

They lost it due to seniority more than anything else.

But the fact they had to give NewJeans ZERO judge points to make that happen is absurd.

also, the maths there doesn't add up. the judges could give a 30/10 split to Seventeen and Seventeen would still come out on top. It doesn't have to be 0% to NJ, not everything is a conspiracy, Seventeen had a great year

Seventeen had a great year too, even in digitals they're doing well (something that most bgs lacks)

The Fact Award = Boy Group > Girl Group

Award shows always prefer to give the awards to the groups with the bigger fandoms, it has been happening forever. The judges points is always ridiculous it doesn't make any sense a hidden score that can be chosen how they wanted is valued a 40% (actually I don't think the judges point should even exist if you're giving the rest of the points by objective numbers), however most award shows have it so they have the final choice.

Expect this to happen several times more this year. NJs is the most impactful artist this year anyway and anyone that bothers to make some research know it.

It is a bullshit award. No reason to waste time on it

We are always like this, this forum even argue about AAA results. That's the beauty of being a kpop stans, we can called all these awards bias and rigged but still tuned in.

When 90% of all kpop fans are women and the majority of women world wide and kpop fans are usually straight women that like men. Also coincidentally favor male idols and thus buy vote etc for them. This is the results,most popular group wins which happens to be a boy group. Interesting how BTS BigBang exo seventeen stray kids etc all end up with higher popularity and awards than girl groups? Hmm only one thing in common both gender groups have massive female fans yet only one gets the most votes and ultra dedicated fandoms hmmm gee I wonder why?
