I think y'all are misunderstanding what I'm saying. NJZ is still a huge group, but the OPs question was whether they could match their or surpass their peak, which IMO they can't due to the lost support of the biggest kpop company and their fans.
Spotify Global
Super Shy - 9
ETA - 38
Cool with you - 28
Next comeback after Hybe drama
How Sweet - 89
Supernatural - 189
Bubblegum - 200
At one point they had over 30 mill monthly listeners at their peak, and with the comeback after he drama this dropped in to the 20 mills and now they are around 15 mill.
If you break down their album sales for 2024 as well, you'll see alot of sales for older albums, not just for their newest like most other groups.
Super Shy/ETA sold over 2 mill, and after the Hybe drama How Sweet and Supernatural have done about 1.1 mill each. That's a decent drop off.
So in 2024 there's about 800k albums sold from their earlier releases. The question is how much was sold prior to the fallout? How much was from tokkis supporting them after the drama? How many are from new stans? How many are from collectors looking to cash in on collector items if they weren't successfull with their extrication from Hybe?

While I agree with NJZ going to struggle to reach the peaks they had before, this kind of analysis with raw numbers miss a lot of context.
The peaks of Spotify global is the biggest drop and the most complicated to achieve again, actually Get up debut and first weeks numbers were almost BP level internationally and in the US. However it could also be because of the AMAZING promotion the Get up era had. The momentum was great because both Ditto and OMG were really succesful, and they made the collaboration with Youtube and with The Powerpuff Girls that worked perfectly and even reached audience outside of the Kpop fanbase. The 2024 comebacks on the other hand had a completely awful rollout. The singles were obviously not the focus of the year because with the singles they also announced the full album (later cancelled by Hybe) to be released in the 2nd half of the year, and the month prior to the comeback the Ador team was not even working, the whole mess had started and we weren't even getting teasers apart from the typical pics teasers 1 week before. Yes of course Kpop fans were aware NJ was coming back and that's why their numbers were as good as the other top ggs, but all the work their previous comebacks had was not there those eras.
The monthly listeners are mainly because of the lack of comebacks. I mean, they released 4 songs in the span of 1 month in the last 20 months, and it was almost a year ago by now. The fact that the ULs are so stable and as high as the rest of top ggs that have made many more comebacks is actually a good sign and show people still listen to them regardless of the situation they're in.
The physical sales are difficult to measure because the project was completely different to anything we've seen before. You're comparing Get up reaching 2M sales with the singles that are are 1.2M and 1.3M now, but Get up was their first EP since their debut and the singles were just singles and they were released back to back in the span of 4 weeks. If you compare it with OMG which is their other single it is at 1.7M and it was released alone instead of 2 different albums together, so was it really a drop? It might be but it's difficult to confirm, and there's also been a general drop for all the groups, actually if you compare them all, NJZ's "drop" seem one of the least important...
That being said, like I mentioned at the beginning of the post, I think it's really complicated they reach the peaks they had before specially internationally. Many things have changed and made it more complicated (armys tokken stanning, Hybe will probably try to boycott, the big hiatus might hurt them...), but it's also really likely everybody will have their eye on them when they finally make their comeback after all this mess. Actually, it's possible that the international media gives them a lot of exposure after all these court cases. And then we should focus on the most important thing and that I feel people ironically forget about in these discussions... The music is the most important. To choose the right song, how much people like it will always be the most important thing, and NJZ's vibe is loved. It's possible they choose a song that people don't enjoy that much like How sweet, or it's possible they choose a song people will love like Ditto, but that's completely impossible to predict.
