In 2021, the Kpop industry conspired to take down Izone. They were fed up with how bright Izone's light was, how it shined so bright that all the other 4th gen groups were struggling to stand out, to come out from underneath Izone's massive shadow. They needed to free up their newest generation of GGs to finally take the spotlight. Aespa. Itzy. Idle. Loona. Stayc. Everglow.
In short they needed Izone gone.
So they worked their bts machinations and conspired together to sabotage and destroy Izone. With no warning, the mighty ship of dreams that was Izone sank to the bottom of the sea. The Avengers of Kpop were lost to history and legend.
Freed from Izone's blinding lights, the 4th gen was finally able to set sail. Next Level hit it big within weeks of Izone's fall and then it was all systems go for 4th generation. Within 15 months of Izone's fall in April 2021, 4th generation had finally taken their place at the top of Kpop with the rise of Stayc, Idle, Aespa, Ive, LSRFM, and lastly NJ in July 2022.
But in truth, this victory was a mirage for the powers that be. All it did was poke the bear and awaken the sleeping dragon. All it did was the sow the seeds for the resurrection of Izone.
The events of the past week have shown a crystal clear image of what the future of Kpop will be. Izone has now been reborn. Not with one face, but as a mighty Hydra, with multiple heads full of fangs and fire, ready to end all of your faves.
Ssamkura leading LSRFM.
Ahnyoungz leading Ive.
Chaeyeon, Yena, Yuri and Eunbi all making waves.
Nako and Hitomi booked and busy in Japan.
Hyewon and Minju doing pretty rich girl things.
Forget the 4th vs 5th gen arguments.
We are living in the Izgeneration
