What is Twice's position in Kpop right now?

I'd like to think of them as still a top tier group, maybe not as dominant as they once were, but they still have it in terms of good quality albums. I don't follow chart success, but for me they are still formidable and the only girl group I listen to nowadays.

I see them as rising again.

Instead of being mostly popular in Korea and Japan, they're now making waves in the West.

Hmmm, I think they are well respected. Sure maybe they aren’t the most popular, but they aren’t completely forgotten of. Either way, twice will always be known as extremely influential.

Twice position in kpop is being Twice.

flops, unheard of, no name, no brand, no fans, no charts, no album sales, no good songs, redundant, payola, sad, lost, nugu, nugudom, nuguville, nugu planet, nugu universe, nugu matrix, nugu land, nugu home, nugu life, bad press, fake and lying fans, evil energy.....real queens of KPOP.........

What is the S. Korean president's position in Kpop? Can he do this?

I mean Twice is one of the biggest kpop groups yes but BTS and BP are literally unrivaled plus Twice felt behind 4th gen girl groups and are not as relevant as they used to be

They're in a position where they make their European fans crying.

I think are doing pretty good and showing how 3rd ggs are still going strong but just a reminder bp didn't have a longer tracking period

I liked their initial songs. I guess they are doing what you call a mild sexy concept now for the global masses. So they are like meh for me.

They took the right strategy and do minimal promotions in Korea. If they were not a Korean based group, they would spend zero time there.

Some posters are dissing their recent lower chart position in Korea. But Korea is irrelevant, because <1% of their profit now comes from Korea. Like BP, they have effectively abandoned promoting in Korea because the more time they spend there the less profit they make.

Their total concert numbers now are as big or even more than BP. So you could argue that they are the #1 active group globally now. Not even restricted to kpop. To add to what others have posted, their 2022 concert tour in Japan was massive.

I doubt he has as many supporters as Twice

TWICE at their peak more popular domestically(SK) and in Asia
but sadly they not yet doing international concert at that time
also JYP ent. not promoting TWICE as an individual at their prime

hurt them in the long run

Twice is a legendary gg.

As for where they are currently, it depends on your own individual weighting of each metric, particularly with regards to Korean success.

Depending on that they are either still in the top 2 or else somewhere in the top 8-10 or so.

IMO they have declined and can't be considered the powerhouse they once were though.

Its like, when people post #3 in the digital charts of Peru. Or 4th gen IT girl.

I guess its nice to be 1st in your school in 2nd grade, but where it really matters is 1st globally in total concert numbers for say the last 12 months.

Maybe Twice aren’t doing well in things they used to do well in, but they’re doing good in other factors. But not surprised there’s so many blinks in this thread talking about Twice
