your ideal type?

okie my friends and i were talking about this a few days back and it just came to me that i should make a threat abt it here. It’s kind of cringe but it’s still fun nonetheless.

What would your ‘ideal type’ be? Like traits, personality, jobs, appearance, lifestyle, gender/sex, whatever. Anything goes and just go off. Your expectations can be anything, i won’t judge so just write whatever down.

ALSO, drop your favourite relationship dynamic (e.g. enemies to lovers, opposites attract, shortiextallie)

my ideal type would be someone who’s smart and logical. Like a guy who’s able to balance me out and to be my other half, you know. I’m pretty overly affectionate (hugs are my lifeblood) and i can be quite loud sometimes, so i’d him to be able to handle my mood swings too (period ones are esp sucky). I’m sorry to say i’m a sucker for opposites attract, so the quiet guy who’s smart and kinda cute and dorky is totally my type...oops.

He has to be able to tolerate my energy, i can be v energetic at times and i’m ngl it can overwhelm people. When i get into those moods, i think it would be so cute if he’s able to handle it and still love me for it..OMG IM CRINGING BUT CONTINUING ON

I want him to be the type to treat you right quietly, without showing off about it every single time. Like he will help you out with dishes without expecting anything back or he’ll pick up on your behaviour when you seem a little off (you don’t have to straight up say it). I don’t want anyone who will be toxic or overly possessive/jealous (a little is so cute tho).

He’s also gotta be able to protect me, and me him obviously (it’s relationship where both people treat each other good). We have to be each others’ priorities.

I’d love someone who’s able to joke with me and make me laugh. It doesn’t have to be conventional (like jokes or smth), but it can be with smart quips or some dry sarcasm (absolute slave for those, it’s so hot omg). HE HAS TO BE CUTE! Like personality wise, he has to have this little thing about him that makes me scream inside (like biting your tongue when you’re focusing or sticking it out a little, idrm). Being a little bashful is also gorgeous~!

LOYALTY IS KEY. No cheaters thanks. There has to be trust in the relationship and we have to communicate. I want someone who i can respect and respects me back.

It would also be wonderful if he takes time to open up (immediate trust is a lot of pressure) but when he does it’s with full trust. And i don’t want him to be flirty with other girls, sorry but it makes me uncomfortable if my bf treats other people like he treats me...

Omg i have such high expectations but he has to be take care of me! Like cook and stuff, someone who can help out with household chores and do the simple things. I don’t want to do all the housework, we have to split it. A good cook who knows how to clean up after himself is so cute omg, i would melt!

I’ve already found my ideal type. He may not be handsome, rich or particularly healthy, but he gives me emotional support and has in the 20 years we’ve been together. I could’ve had a wealthier, handsomer and healthier man but he wouldn’t have stayed and supported me or been faithful. I’m lucky to have him.

I don´t have a gender preference tbh. They just have to be funny, nurturing, and as crazy as me. It´d be nice for them to balance out my energy and keep me calm when I feel like I´m loosing my cool. yea your partner has to be able to understand you, i don’t think it’ll work out well if people didn’t understand their partners since you’d literally be incapable of seeing their pov.

oh..i see. Are you v traditional? I’ve got a few relatives and i’m ngl they can get on my nerves when they expect my mum to do the impossible. My ideal type is someone I can vibe with - looks really don't matter too much - as long as they fit my own personal preference. If someone has a personality I like, looks are secondary - but of course there has to be some fort of attraction there, or else it won't be a good situation.

I like a man/woman who is mature, maybe even for their age. I don't care if their a few years younger or older than me. Level headed - wants to work with me on issues, rather than arguing.

Empathy is a huge turn on. If you care about my feelings and what makes me tick, as I will do for my partner, it's a winning situation.

My partner has to be understanding of my own shortcomings, as I suffer from PTSD and Depression. I need someone understanding. And in turn, I will do the same with them.

Hold me when I cry, laugh with me, take sunset drives, go look at a creek with me. Forest walks.

LIVE with me. Actually live life to the fullest

I am quite traditional from a conservative and cultural side.

the bolded part that's really old fashioned views but if they are still in China then yes those views are what forms traditional Chinese culture - it really depends on the specifics of such views

the most common ones are to do with child rearing and housework

but given both of your parents are in Australia they (your parents) will probably be a lot less conservative...
