Also, this is the commercial where they feature aespa that I've been seeing on live TV...(I thought it was Samsung at first for some reason LMAO)

I remember one time aespa went, but the crowds were bad, they were pushing and crowing and filming the girls inappropriately (I hope my memory serves me right). Maybe that’s why they stopped going or more selective in choosing university venues.

It's simple they only invite groups who did very well digitally this year. ITZY are going to 4 University festivals now because Sneakers was a hit in Korea

Same as NewJeans, IVE and Le ssarfim doing well on K charts.

To be honest they can sell out really big venues in Japan.

this article doesn't mention them by name but knetz are sure this article is about Aespa since they fit the description, article puts them as the highest performance fee at 50 million won. Article mentions other artists and their fees but doesn't fully name them, it does mention Psy by name tho and how he charges these universities the bare minimum. I don't have any info for other groups but I remember someone saying Gidle performance fee was 30 million but they never shared the article with me.

And also there are other cost than money that sometimes more difficult to satisfied. Like some artist need X thing provided by the uni (usually for their stage performance)

Or it could be a trivial one but just annoying like they need a bunch amount of Xs, Ys, Zs for the team (the artist, manager, and the following crew) but in the end they only used 1 or 2, or didn't even used any so it wasting budget.

How very DARE you ask a question if you don't have $500 minimum in merchandise, know all the members real names and birthdays and can sing every line in their songs, why are you asking. You MUST have an ulterior motive!!!!!

Na the students comitee choose what artists they invite. They dont have to do well in digitals. The just need to be popular with the students. Also i would guess aespa did better in digitals this year than itzy.

And Brave Girls attend even more University Festivals without a big Hit this year.

Kyungil University students were dissatisfied with aespa Performance. Saying the other artists did more for less money. I watched the Performances and had to agree. 🙈

Sneakers did way better than girls but if you take the whole year into consideration aespa had way more songs charting so they ended up doing better cumulatively.

I didnt follow the charting that close so i guess you are right. Also aespa older songs from last year still charting also come into play there.
