Yep, I think the fans gathered for this occasion because they knew it was their best chance to win. Show Champion scoring system is the most balanced across all categories if I'm not mistaken, so even with copium charting a win is achievable through voting, youtube views, album sales.

While it's true many groups struggle to get wins because of their weak korean digitals, selling 100k on say 2016/17 for a girlgroup would be like high mid-tier at the very minimum, and unless you came back at the same time as a top top group, a win was very much possible even if the digitals were poor. Now you have some nugu boygroups from not-so-big companies almost debuting with these numbers, it's just different eras.
