Tell me something you get in kpop that you don't get from western pop

Besides the music the behind the scenes and vlogs that kpop idols do to connect more with fans.
I think it's great

Kpop has Day6

actual money spent on music videos, harmonies, choreography

H.O.T dabbled in pop, ballads, r&b, rock, techno, and hiphop and also had social messages. Their contemporaries Backstreet Boys pretty much did pop, ballads, and r&bs so...

Budget spent on choreo, performances & visuals. The only one putting so much effort into that these days in mainstream Western pop is Doja Cat.
Also stuff like lore. Even though it's becoming oversaturated in KPOP now, you rarely see Western artists create actual stories & stuff through their music & visuals.
Although nowadays I find myself caring more about the Western world more lmao
They're more similar than some people think

Great choreography.
High budget MVs with great visuals.
Wholesomeness. Western pop takes itself very seriously.
Variety within one genre. Western pop tends to find a trend and sticks with it until the next big trend. KPOP usually bandwagons off of that trend where a lot of groups start copying the popular Western sound, but there are SO many groups that there are bound to be some who don't ride the wave.

In general for me when it come to kpop and jpop I find their music can really boost my mood their energy and performance are just different
-
Dancing and great choreographies.
Anything else stanning Taylor Swift is the same of stanning a very active K-pop group

content - there's so much more content out there
interactions between the members
members showing off their personality which might be fake or for camera but I do hope that some part of the real them is showing through

Fans do get a chance to feel like they can get to know and feel more connected to idols if they want, I agree.

Cuteness like red pandas? :D
For me, it depends on the kind of cuteness. I don't like aegyo or cute concepts much, but I do like seeing quirkiness, vulnerability, and cute/affectionate interactions.

Performance
It’s just not even close.

miracle?

The harmonies is what drew me to kpop. There are enough multi-singer groups in the west

I don't really get into lore, because I don't follow enough non-music content. I do love a music video with a good storyline though.

It's weird to me when people say they don't like "kpop" cuz there are so many different influences and sounds in kpop. You can find most western pop sounds in kpop too.

I hope some of it is real too.

Like a nugu group with no new song, no promotion, no schedule is going to disband but instead it goes No1 on all charts the next week. That's something no industry can pull of.
