(Did HB even get a part in this song lmao??)
What am I even listening to like what does Wa Da Da even mean. The song is terrible like it's not even like sticker from nct where you know the song is terrible but at least it's catchy and the vocalists are good, but with this song, it has nothing going for it. It's not even a fun song, not even a momoland fun banger, just mess.
The lineup, woo...girl. And Mnet Cult fans will still stream this mess. Like. Lord. The bar for kpop fans is LOW. Anyways, Step Back was released. I have completely changed my opinion of the song (take away the lyrics) it's terrible. There is this like sound in the song, that keeps going until Boa's singing part, and God is it awful, it's like torturing my ears. I might really have to learn who T-ara and some other 2nd gen groups are because 4th gen is lack luster. The only group who makes consistently good music is aespa. Listen to their mini album, even one song on that album beats out step back and wa da da.
Did I mention how I hate the MV of wa da da? It's so...unoriginal? Like, dark? I hate dark lighting in MVs. Give it a rest. That's one reason why I didn't like the MV for savage because they spent more time in that messy place with the large snake than the other place that was purple/blue. I don't even remember, all I know is that 2022 for kpop music is not looking good. Kep1er, you cant redeem yourself. A group with a lack luster lineup cannot redeem themselves, maybe GOT can, but not you.
In 2022 can we leave mnet, and in general,
leave these shows in 2021? Seriously. They keep getting worse and worse, and more disgusting, my teenage girl, the producer, the man who said he made i.o.i for...men's pleasure. That show has freaking 11 year olds. Seriously. Disturbing.
The whole GOT lyric thing is such a confusing debate, like yeah, I did say the lyrics were bad yesterday, or the day before yesterday, but if step back was sung by a bunch of 15 year olds in a U.S girl group nobody would be complaining.
But GOT have literally majority 30 year old women or women that will be turning 30 soon in their lineup, isn't this whole, "my man is my man step back ugly girl" thing, a bit too, childish for them? A group with such highly respected women, who are so talented, singing a song about a women trying to steal their man who is so amazing and on another level, that she can't even get close. Like lets think about that for a second.
The issue is not misogyny, the lyrics aren't putting down every single women in the world, it's putting down one bad women who can't accept no for an answer, the issue is that GOT don't need to be reducing themselves to singing a childish song that a 15 year old girl would make!
Anyways, rant over. Taglist:
