Well the albums were not my taste then haha.
I usually listen to more BG albums since I end up liking their bsides more but no single album caught me much. The ones close were Enhypen and nct dream album with 2-3 songs that I liked.
Eternal is a solid debut album. The only song I'm iffy about is the best song lol which is funny ig.
But want to love you is so good and i still cannot decide my favorite songs. They change depending upon the song I'm listening to.

I've said for some time that I have a tie for album of the year, but if pushed to only pick one, advantage Favorite. (I thought Sticker was an amazing album, but this is one album where I actually think it is improved even more by the repackage because it smooths some of the already strong flow of songs on the album while adding a few more great ones.) Overall, it's a fantastic album that showcases all the things I love about NCT (fearlessness in music, tight rhymes, magnificent vocals) on the best album of their career that pulls together all the disparate elements of their discography (experimental and creative, rap-focused, hip hop swagger, r&b luxury and club bangers).
Standout songs to me:
- Sticker - wildly inventive with so many layers. I never tire of it!
- Favorite - this song actually flows extremely well into Sticker - the haunting whistle becomes the flute. Vocals for days here, but still unexpected in the best NCT way.
- Focus - sexy R&B booty music at its finest.
- Breakfast and Love on the Floor - awesome assshaking bops that bring the party
- Magic Carpet Ride - the kind of vocal R&B fireworks show I'm a sucker for
- Lemonade - irresistible hip hop bop making great use of their lower registers (esp. Jaehyun)
Honorable mention (aka tied for best album of the year for me): Baekhyun - Bambi.
This remained my AOTY until Sticker dropped. I love that it is a gorgeous, nostalgic callback to classic R&B all the way back to Al Green: there are the vocal fireworks. It's grown and sexy like D'Angelo's Untitled (How Does It Feel) with shades of stripped back R&B like Giveon.
Standout songs:
- Cry for Love is sheer perfection - ol skool but modern and fresh + vocal flex
- All I Got - dayummmmm - this is a classic vocal flex in the tradition of fine vocal flexes. I know people aren't always crazy for this type of thing in kpop but my Mariah-Whitney loving self LOVED it.
- Love Scene - so much of this album is flex or sex, this one is a lovely, stripped back gem.
- Amusement Park - I think it's a little different from the vibe of the rest of the album but I love it (this was my most listened song according to Spotify). It's so beautiful and delicate with such lovely lyrics.
I have quite a long list of albums I loved this year but for this once I'll go with D&E's Countdown
