Butter is literally the best song released in kpop this year

It doesn't need the "in kpop" qualifier imo.

Butter is what absolute pop perfection sounds like.

(tho as it turns out, I did end up liking one song better, Shinee's Kind, but whatevs)

I agree. It's so refreshing and cool. While I don't consider it to be BTS's best song of all, I think it was a fun, nicely done summer song.

The production of the song is so amazing. Right from the start with Jungkook's falsetto it gives you nostalgic feeling of pop in its beginning and then transitions into dance pop (which is what kpop is known for) with that chorus. The confidence of Tae, Jin, Jimin radiates through the screen and headphones. Suga after that dance break with ice on his wrists and RM with his powerful aura giving shoutout to ARMYs is the best part of the song for me. J-Hope towards the end doing what he does best. It is a very good song. Imo one of BTS' very best.

Megan collab was icing on the cake.

The first time i watched the MV with the song, i was malfunctioning lol

Not only was the song gold, the confidence of the boys in the MV was out of this world.

Godamn it why is the Bieber song actually good.

Give „butter“ to Oneus, CIX, OnF, Pentagon, SF9 or any other mid tier Kpop boy group and it disappears. Give songs like libido, Luna, Bambi, Fever or Lover Loser to BTS and the song would be even bigger and praised as the greatest songs of all time by armys
