I remember this.... AKP main site comments were lit blaze by people saying she should be ashamed

Seventeen came to my mind immediately. The members definitely seem like allies. Seungkwan said, how doing the laundry and the dishes isn’t a mother’s/ girl’s job (when he said this, it was targeted towards an entitled male teenager). Wonwoo has worn bracelets that support comfort women. The Seventeen members often check their lyrics with female staff to ensure the lyrics aren’t offensive to them. Even in their Lotto remix, they added “The housewives are strong people,” seeing how society often looks down upon housewives and belittles them. Dino, the maknae was even seen reading a book on feminism as well. Some of the members in the past were also seen wearing outfits that specifically said “I marymond you,” a phrase used to show support to the Korean women who were forced into sexual slavery.
Though this is kind of irrelevant, but I think they were the only male idol group who also got into the misandry scandal as well, it was sort hilarious to see. Some people think that it was just a coincidence and some think that Seventeen members purposely used the misandry hand symbol when they had their comeback promotions earlier this year (since at that time, it was the peak of all the protests against inequality). All in all, it was an amusing situation, but we love people who respect women and advocate for equality.

ifans said that too??

ifans said that too??

ifans said that too??
I saw comments like that from i fans too but the majority still found the issue ridiculous
I can't comprehend how something like that can even become an issue but the crazy antifeminist in SK are something else
The other time they dissed Hyosung for saying she is scared to return home at night as it is dangerous for women ...it's literally how almost every woman feels tho?? I cant with their bs

Wonder Girls Yennie or Yeeun who is now known as Ha:tfelt.
She explicitely said that she is a feminist and that she won't get married because of society pressure as she is aging but of course, some had to twist her words to hate on her. She is mocked and insulted for being a feminist for years now. Once she answered to knetzs criticism and she answered that she has no regret.
She was chosen to be the member of a task force commitee against sexual violence.
I have never seen a Kpop idol advocating so much and that directly for women rights than her but unfortunately she is even boycotted for that and her solo career is not really succesfull.

A lot of them speak about women's rights and position in the Korean society. A song like Sixth Sense speaks about different forms of emprisonement like the one of being a woman.
At the beginning of their career, only Narsha and Gain admitted that they had plastic surgery but then JeeA and Miryo admitted it and they released a song about the hypocrisy regarding plastic surgery while questioning the high beauty standards for women. They talked bodly about women sexuality and liking sex in Warm Hole.
Gain speaks about female masturbation, physical abuse and in Paradise Losr, she questioned the myth of Adame and Eve. The whole EP talks about the place of women in a conservative society.

Apart from all the women mentioned here already
I think Kai. He grew up in a woman majority household(he has two sisters). And openly has participated in campaigns against work place harassment. The way he talks about many issues whether it’s beauty standards or weight or plastic surgery it’s always with great care and nuance.

CL one gave an interview (other sources too but I don't know if they're allowed to be posted) where she literally called Asian girls "basic" because they're timid and shy, and she is the self proclaimed example of what an Asian girl could be. She got a fair bit of backlash from it from both kfans and ifan
She probably is a feminist but likely for girls who share her her ideas only and wouldn't mind putting down others.

The racism/xenophobia is a nice touch. I can only assume it's men who are that divorced from the reality of it. Not hating on them, but they just aren't aware.

CL's feminism was completely in line with bj's attitude towards snsd, barf

I wasn't meaning to make it sound negative I just feel she would stick up for women's rights and empowerment and her videos do suggest that. That can be a good thing.

I know. I was pointing out in the past she had a biased view to this sort of thing. As in I care about people like me but I don't think much of others that aren't' when feminism should include all women of all background.

Cl has nice songs but as a woman she comes off as very pick me
