Is Butter popular in your country?

I can't attest for a "whole country".
I live somewhere in Sydney cbd.
I only heard it in maccas or starbucks, when we can still dine in. We can't get out much since 3rd week of June.

It set streaming records here and was always trending on yt music.

Yes it’s popular in Australia although I haven’t heard it personally yet in my town.

The hype about their music died after Dynamite was allover the radio till May or so and than not even the people who spam stuff about them on the internet care anymore (or at least just way too little for how crazy some people post about BTS on some websites). Many people seem to wish they would do Korean music again lol

Nope.

Here in Germany? Not really.

I'm more of a Spotify and drive type of person than a put on the radio and drive person but I've heard it passively and non K-pop friends point out when they hear it too so it's being played somewhere I guess.
Can't speak for the whole UK tho.

I actually don't know. I only listen to my own playlists and public radio (radio which is subsidized by the government). I rarely watch TV (or even the streaming services a family member pays for). YouTube is pretty curated to my personal interests. I don't really go out that much besides work due to COVID. I just go to the gym and make quick stops to the store. I'm not into going to cafes or dining out. I very rarely drink smoothies or boba tea. If I had to choose a song of this summer purely based on the feels I get from the song, it would be Doja Cat's Kiss Me More.

Not as big as Dynamite, but in another league compared to the rest of kpop (which is nonexistant).
It got played a lot on radio for a few weeks (I dont listen to radio, but I heard it in a taxi), but it doesnt seem to have the longevity Dynamite had, so its played less now. Its still in top 50 on Spotify.
This question did make me check radio stats and apparently even PTD has been added to rotation in one radio station now

In my area, not really.

i've heard it play in my country often, together with Dyna still getting a lot of airplay

And my family hear butter a lot of times. It’s not as much as Dynamite but I have heard it several times used as a bgm in a numerous tv shows. Even friends and family tell me they hear it several times.

So in Germany it’s being played in the radio, used as a bgm for tv shows and is being played on music channels like mtv. I don’t know why the other people didn’t hear it but even my mom and my bro who literally does not really like bts have heard it a lot of times.
There is more. To that user who said that their music and hype “died”. Life goes on or boy with luv is also a bgm that I hear a lot. In my city there are flatscreens at the train stations (Germans will know what i mean) with news and I saw several times bts on there. This is like celebrity gossip with only artists that people know

I have heard it in the radio and in stores.

I only heard dynamite at my place but that was because of the Samsung ad which got it pushed to some of the pop radios here. I think dynamite is the 1st song by a Korean act to ever get pushed to radios here
Btw I don’t listen to radios much so I won’t know if butter gets played. Dynamite was played a lot that’s why even I heard it at least once

A few weeks ago, I was on the bus (this is New York) when I heard these little kids playing Butter and Dynamite and singing along to them. They weren’t Asian btw. It was super cute.
I’ve also heard it playing in stores like Starbucks. Those are the only encounters I’ve had ‘in the wild’.
I don’t follow the charts anymore, but most young people in America use Spotify and YouTube, so check those charts if you want to get an idea.

most people nowadays don't watch TV anymore and if, than mostly old people
Almost all TV-shows even state how they loose viewer. Shows who got a million people watching often have less than 200K people watching them now and even a lot shows who are on TV that can be watched online don't get that big of a recogntion anymore than let's say 5 years ago. I barly know anyone who is not old and still regularly watches TV outside of streaming Netflix on it
