Out of those choices? IVE Eleven or (G)I-DLE Latata
Outside of those choices?

I voted for IVE simply because I personally preferred the song over NJZ. But I agree that success wise, NJZ takes the cake.
If I had my way... I'd put ARTMS' Virtual Angel & Loossemble's Sensitive on here... both were really good... even though they're redebuts... 😢🥺

If must choose from the list I would say Babymonster - Batter Up, even if it was not a great song, it at least was a bit of fun and good ending of the song.

NewJeans Attention and Hype Boy shook up the whole industry. They made such an impact because they were so different from what we heard before AND were addictive hits at the same time. The other groups are 1)different but don't sound great (e.g. NMIXX, aespa), 2)not different but sound good (e.g. IVE, ILLIT), or 3)not different and don't sound great (Babymonster Sheesh and Meovv).
Don't hurt me this is just my opinion. I think most stans of these groups would agree the debut song is not the best and their bias group had to grow into their sound to make it big, like aespa and NMIXX. Meovv Toxic and Body were so much better than their debut, and I can see them releasing a banger soon. Aespa's releases for the last two years are experimental AND sound good (Whiplash, Supernova), and they're now easily one of my top groups.

Are you saying Black Mamba isn't a great song?? Omg, it's literally still one of Aespa best songs!!
and tbh I see the Aespa quality went up within the years, but this doesn't mean it was bad, since debut they had bangers... -
Honestly if I had to objectively rank aespa's songs:
SS-tier: Supernova, Whiplash, Spicy
S-tier: Drama, Armageddon
A-tier: Savage, Next Level, Illusion
B-tier: Better Things, Thirsty, Dreams Come True cover
C-tier: Black Mamba, Girls (subjectively I would put it in B-tier cause Ningning became my bias during this era <3)
D-tier: Forever cover
This is in context to the rest of kpop; aespa has higher quality songs across the board and amazing B-sides, which is why there's no F-tier. Black Mamba isn't awful or unoriginal but it's in the bottom compared to the rest of their discography.
