We are going to start a dialogue folks. 
I honestly can't blame most people that still can't believe the situation newjeans is now, is sudden and shocking. Most people can't accept that newjeans isn't anymore that mega dominant girl group too ahead the rest of their peers they were just 6 months ago, even when lot of us mentioned that if hybe ever stopped giving them all the privileged payola they were giving them that would end, a huge percentage never even accepted those words.
So when I proclaim that currently, with 2024 results, newjeans isn't the indisputable top #1 they were but #3 below aespa and lesserafim I also understand lot of users, less smart and with less knowledge of things than me not accepting that reality. I also understand that when I said unless a miracle happens newjeans will be out of top 5 biggest active girl groups because Illit and Babymonster will surpass them sounds lunatic.
But here we are and these are the facts. Aespa's Supernova and Armageddon are for sure bigger than How Sweet and Bubblegum internationally on spotify and youtube, Lesserafim's Easy and Smart too. New hybe sweethearts Illit's Magnetic will most likely be the biggest hit on kpop this year so that's a given, is not surprising at all. But then here comes the surprise, another rookie group is also having a bigger hit this year than any of newjeans songs, Babymonster's Sheesh, and look at today spotify results:

Unless you are one of newjeans most delusional cultists is impossible to deny Magnetic and Supernova to be bigger hits. Accepting that Lesserafim got 2 bigger songs is harder, you probably have a dumb superiority complex over them because of their coachella performance. But Baemon too?! That sloppy poor copy of Blackpink that YG has been pushing for barely 6 months has already a bigger hit than the most dominant kpop girl group ever conceived? Yep, that's right, it will be a hard pill to swallow, but is a reality too.
Thinking that 2NE1 3.0 will have a bigger hit on spotify than newjeans, that was still on today's top hits just in february looks like madness, but here we are, and 4th gen is truly entertaining to watch, more entertaining than 3rd gen race ever was. Newjeans will still be successful but they won't be the top girl group anymore, I'm sure we as a society are not prepared to mass accept that yet, but we will slowly reach that point soon, and I hope this thread can contribute to that.
