I'LL IT is one of the worst names for a kpop group I ever seen

I'd like to say it fazed me,but at this point that's really not possible anymore.

I saw a funny post on Pannchoa about it. When your competition has names like this and El7up or whatever, it makes Kepler sound perfectly normal lol. Although tbh i really like Kepler as a name (without the idiotic "1" of course, just use the normal spelling MNET omg).

Kpop labels will never listen to us it seems like. We've been complaining about things like names and proper English usage for years and it all falls on deaf ears.

Ive should have been "I AM", that song name is a better name for the group tbh.

Le sserafim should have been Seraphim or whatever the correct spelling is of that word.

New Jeans isnt good either but i cant think of a better version of it, maybe a whole new name entirely.

Gidle should have been spelled correctly, G-Idol. Although i've gotten used to just calling them Idle, it's a lot easier to type than whatever the true spelling of the group is.

Aespa might be the best of the group, it's a nonsense word of course but at least it looks pretty and sounds natural coming off the tongue, no cringe.

How the absolute hell am I supposed to voice activate spotify/android auto/google home to play music by these ridiculously named groups?

The stupid thing already struggles badly with Itzy, IVE and aespa.

Every damn label should run prospective names through AKP.

Give us the potential names in a thread, let us all debate about it and point shit out, and then the labels can make an INFORMED DECISION. If the goal is to appeal to global (ie American) audiences with English names, then these names need to be run through actual people that grew up and listen to music here.

Hybe should know better of course. That whole company is littered with English speakers and even kids that grew up here...JUST EMAIL YUNJIN AND ASK HER FOR HER OPINION FFS.

Butter Belle is CUTE AF ngl lol. It's perfect for younger groups targeting tweens and teens, although maybe a bit too infantile for an older group, that name might have to change as they age lol.

I like New Jeans too.

At first I thought it was weird, but it grew on me. I like the idea of Jeans/Genes. Like, it being in their DNA, but it's a physical thing you can see because they wear it.

Kitsch doesn't mean quirky/weird. Actually, most of the same, when a german person sees something very Pink or Girly, they say it's "Kitschig". It's basically calling something "too girly" "too boyish" or not modern. This doesn't have to mean that it's weird. Most of the time, we describe something as "kitschig" when it reminds us of something our grandmas would wear

Kids are so fast and clever, it's already started. You'll see every verb under the sun crammed between "I'll" and "It" to make fun of them, including 4 letter ones

I said the same as soon as I saw the name.

I THINK the name is supposed to be 'I will it', as in I wil lit a fire under the ass of whoever the fuck named this group.

But in seriousness, I'll IT is possible that it's short for I 'will' it 'to happen'. That's the only thing closely redeemable point, if any.
