I do find it somewhat interesting that TripleS were promoting on Hyein's old stomping grounds of all places.

In fact a lot of lesser known groups started going there since NJ went big.

Simple, NewJeans is under Hybe Labels, TripleS is under a nugu company.

Generation is a great bop and the label has been promoting it aggressively. But like others said, since it’s a nugu group, they need more time for other people to know their existence. The massive YouTube ads when they debut was good because otherwise I won’t know them. The group just need to consistently release great bops and gain loyal fandom for people to eventually tune in.

generation actually did very well coming from a small company new group out of left field

their company seem to be good at picking songs too based on the snippets they have released so far for their upcoming projects

Newjeans is not just about music quality, the members are also interesting, and having famous members is a base. TripleS music is good, the members selection is cheap, everyone has that small company energy no one there looks like a celebrity.

the success of ditto is not cause ditto, its from the success of attn/hype boy

also, and more importantly, hybe vs nugu

New Jeans has so much going for them.

Min Heejin, HYBE, they capitalized on the Y2K movement in a way no one was at the moment, good songs, and pretty members.

They came at the right time with the right backing.

Comparing them to Triple S....yeah.

That's like asking why NMIXX sold 1 million records this year while BVNDIT disbanded lmao. We all know why.
