Have you ever been unable to distinguish faces between members of a group but after getting to know them you don't understand why people can't tell them apart

ALL THE FREAKING TIME! I did it with BLACKPINK, then with Stray Kids. Whenever people mix them up, I laugh really hard, but when I was first getting into them, I was a mess too.

i understand why some cant distinguish kpop idols cus the same styling, same ps, same filters & such that make them all look similar its annoying, they are basically forced to coded same

i think it happens to a giant majority of us

Cause it took me many months to reconise the Loona Members

still trying to recognize Treasure ( got most of them down...)

stuck on stray kids for awhile but they were easy to figure out

it just takes time

can't say i had that problem

now forget who the thicker between the two

even Haerin can't unless it close up to see feline-like visuals

I can usually tell them apart, the difficult part is remembering who is who (putting a name to the face) which is where I tend to fail

Yes. At that time, I only recognise Namjoon by his looks and sound. I can’t even distinguish their voices and I remember asking my niece how can you tell them apart?

Well it'd happen for a lot of people I think

Bangtan all look different but I had difficulty distinguishing some members apart at the beginning. It sounds so weird and off now. But I'm not Asian, I had never watched kdramas or content to be familiar with korean or asian faces. Sorry if that sounds weird but it's true, that it's harder for you to pick apart faces when they are from another ethnic group, especially one you're not seeing on the daily. It's the root to some of the racism, when people decide that this "resemblance" is a fact and not due to a lack of knowledge.

That being said, the argument said above is true too, the styling sometimes can be very similar which doesn't help recognize at the beginning.

Yeah, in an I.D. twin situation. The auric energy never feels identical though.

Not exactly 1 group but when ONEUS and ONEWE debuted I mistook Xion and Dongmyeong a few times since they are twins and in the same company and there are a lot videos of them both together, but it was quit easy to figure out who is who in the videos after some time since even tho Xion is the older one he is very shy compared to Dongmyeong and Dongmyeong allways had the personality of "ok, my brother dosn't dares himself on trying this, so that's why I'm here and speak for him" and Xion was allways like "But I really don't want to do this" and Dongmyeong be like: "But you have! It is not going to work out for you if you allways get scared of new things and run away!" They are totaly the oposite of eachother and Xion once even said he would've most likly allready given up if it wasn't cause of his brother.

When i was recognizing BTS

Namjoon was the easiest to recognize cause of his eyes

I can recognize Namjoon, Jin, J-hope, and Yoongi easily

the rest are close, but not quite
