But wtf? We still doing this JYPE? Bruh, where is Yuna on this list? Yeji and Ryujin even. Damn! I hate the JYPE promotion style. I'm gonna have to wait another 3 years before I see Ryujin acting or see Yuna, Yeji, or Lia as a permanent MC. Bruh, Haewon got a solo gig before any one in ITZY. Seething, crying, throwing up.

It’s so frustrating. Itzy isn’t like twice. Twice didn’t need to promote individually because they were huge as 0T9 Itzy is too inconsistent to not promote them individually it’s pissing me off. They got Yuna, Yeji and Ryujin and not a single one is booked. Next year they will be forgotten by the newcomers. Same goes to aespa it’s weird because SM used to do both.

Twice haven't been getting nugu brand deals except maybe Momo with Wonjungyo. They endorse a lot roadshop brands and semi luxury brands that are well known in Asia. Plus they model for lots of top fashion brands as well.

Like??? Nayeon and Sana have been promoting LV and Prada for years and they aren’t their ambassadors when we got less relevant idols taking these ambassadors deals. Making no sense.

It's just a matter of time before JYP gets kicked out of the "BIG3". Everything this company has done in recent years is mediocre, not to say bad. Kakao will come to take their place it's only a matter of time.

JYPE barely give solo promotions, sucks for the members. Only Suzy was an exception.

Yeah, seems like JYPE started to love to apply Twice formula for every girl group of theirs, to not give the members' wings of their own and let them be dependant on their group brand totally so they can't leave.

We need to start with saying JYP Don’t want another miss a situation while they used to promote them individually until Tzuyu’s scandal she was everywhere but JYP stopped because Twice was too big OT9 made more money than pushing on member which wasn’t the case for Miss A. Now twice have no choice to resign because they will be doomed if they leave for another nugu company.

i should’ve elaborated more but anyway I didn’t mean that jyp forbade their ggs from ever taking on any solo activity, just solo gigs that were a huge deal and could potentially catapult one or two individual idols above their group’s level of fame. mc and variety show gigs don’t really fall into this category, no? i was thinking more along the lines of drama/film castings, solo modeling, cfs, brand ambassadors and all that jazz, basically things that will give an idol public awareness without attachment to the group’s brand. we saw this happen many times with idols who got big from acting, cfs but their groups are still nugu. mc-ing and middling variety shows don’t really have the power to do this except very few exceptions, so jyp weren’t scared to take them on for their idols.

i do remember tzuyu’s phone cf but i feel like the whole controversy around her posing in inappropriate camera shots when she was only 15 scared jyp to death and they ran for the hill lol and swore off solo activities especially after the taiwan controversy shortly after. this coupled with miss a’s situation was a final nail in the coffin i feel

also i forgot to say but i think you’re behind on jyp’s lore lol bc i definitely saw speculations about jyp denying solo deals bc of fear of another miss a situation as early as 2016, not 2018 so it’s not a thing people said only in recent times

JYPE is doing a terrible job of promoting any of his groups in Korea, I doubt they would be able to snatch a deal with luxury brands.

Their relevancy diminish a lot over the years. Unless the management change, Twice will be the last popular group in Korea, because so far Itzy is not even half as popular and Nmixx is doing even worse.

The other problem is that JYPE always prioritizes group activities over solo, which is great for the company and terrible for the members.

They are way too dependent on album sales, which leads to them keeping their groups constantly coming back without much time to do much else.

It's nearly 2023 and some people still think Suzy, who became one of the biggest solo kpop acts ever, is why JYPE does not push solo work.

the pandemic just fucked up the way jype operates, solo CFs(unless blackpink) will never make as much as touring/album sales.

by year end, ITZY is gonna end up with

several tour shows(which makes the most money as merch is huge)

2 japanese single albums,

2 korean albums

a Mnet reality show,

+ group Cfs and all the other shit

I think JYP cares more about the less popular members of his groups than other Companies, and probably in large part because of Miss A, he seems to be really close with the members of his earlier groups from what I have seen

Meanwhile over at CUBE entertainment they are literally booting the 2 least popular Members out of one of their Groups in the Hope of generating more success for the more popular members... utterly ruthless and will probably pay off for them in this heartless industry
