Anw for those who wondering why they are still considered as a roty contender (and from what I see amongst people) :

1. They got the talent, they just need a good song that utilize their potential (which is now wrecked by jype)

2. They are coming from big company. If they came from even a mid company, people would have threw them away a long time ago

Those 2 things make people think that they still had a chance, because they had potentials (both talent and money)

I find Newjeans more interesting overall. But i think this rule by numbers, so IVE should be the winner

NJ will bag some awards for sure. Some shows only give awards to those who attend and some give multiple ROTY awards. Some might also give ROTY to someone else if IVE is awarded something "bigger" (SOTY/ArOTY candidate #1). Especially the shows with no clear criteria given for awards just do what they want and even invent new awards just to give something to everyone who is attending.

All the groups mentioned in this thread are probably winning something somewhere, including NMIXX. If it's not ROTY they will come up with some 'Global rising star' thingy.

And with good reason too. Afterlike hit 620k UL peaks i think. That's unbelievable in this day and age. I remember thinking that Love Dive's one weakness was its mediocre peak UL count of only 470k ish. Amazing longevity but not that high a peak. And then those girls bitchslapped me and showed me the true meaning of "peak ULs" with Afterlike. I think it's the second highest UL peak on Melon this year after Still Life.

They'll probably come back in early 2023 so at least Dives have time to bask in the glow of their success a little longer.

lol i'm just talking in relative terms. It's great for 99 percent of songs out there, but we're talking about being the biggest digimon in Korea. That means you're competing with Tomboy with 550k peak ULs, That That and Attention with over 500k peak ULs, Pink Venom with 505k peak ULs, etc.
