Yup~
I have plenty of that brand of ambient Synthpop in my playlists but artists that immediately come to mind are Aseul/Yukari, Meishi Smile, LLLL, Oh my muu, Pastel Ghost, Eartheater and Alice Glass.
Of course Crystal Castles are the prototype but you probably already know them~ -
Sure I've had Grimes and Aseul pretty much on constant rotation for months now. I'm always looking for new stuff like that but no one hits as hard as her and Yeule. There's also Luli Lee but she's more beachy/rock sounding.
-
Oh yea, definitely get what you're trying to say, every artist falls short in one way or the other no matter how much you look~
Luli Lee's style of work is very widespread within SK itself anyway, that kind of atmospheric Indie/Post Rock.
However, this should make sense:
(And it features Yeule as well) -
Oh yeah I really dig this. Thanks!
-
-
Hello, I'm reading the fanfic and I'm so immersed now lol
The author is very good to achieve that
I'm glad that I went back to read it with less distractions
1
-
Lel, I sent the author an entire essay on how she managed to capture the era of the USSR and after~
And we had a long talk about it!
I also recommendeded her Molchat Doma's Etazhi in relation to her work and she said that it transported her back to the times she wrote it. :")
How far along are you though? -
I'm starting chapter 5 again now
I'll take more time to finish like this, but now I don't want it to end lol
-
Well, you do have 20 more chapters to go and it only gets more cathartic lel.
Did you end up reading Faust? It's short enough~
Faust Symphony is a very token piece for Classical music newbies by the way. -
I didn't remember it was that short, I'll read it for sure then
Really? I didn't know that. Maybe the newbies in the choir know it lol
-
It's 88K words. That should be two-three hours of non-stop reading~
They don't actually! I was playing a Bach concerto today (and it happens to be a very token piece for the locals) and I saw them shazaming it.
-
-
Happy birthday!
-
-
Our Path(s) cross again.
I'm very good actually, preparing for my upcoming tests in November.
Um, the phrases on either side of the comma above are mutually exclusive from each other in terms of how I feel about them-
But anyways, I'm sure it's nice to be finally free from the clutches of competitive exams (for a while at least).
It's....very dead, I don't know what happened when I was gone.

-
Hey Path~
-
-
-
Hello~
-
hru?
-
-
-
See you in a few months again. T^T
-
Wait, why are you Bach before 6 months? T^T
-
I ate a lot of paan
-
Well~
That's very sudden information- why? Did you like it? What kind?
-
-
-
LOONA power?
Well, it has tons of LOONA power but it does lack the melodic movement of the previous LOONA title tracks, so it's rather flat until the bridge hits.
I adore the instrumental though! The punchy melodic synths are such a predebut LOONA aspect.
I do think the very subtle use of melodic changes will very likely be appreciated the more one listens to the track.
It's intricate overall however, the autotuned vocal chops and synths play with each other a lot, to the point it can become hard to tell them apart, since they also move quite fast rhythmically lel.
I think it's most definitely on the level of "Why Not?" for now, and that's impressive for a first listen for me.
-
Honestly I'll take this LOONA instead of PTT LOONA. I will gladly throw PTT LOONA out the window without any second thought
I dont think I really dig the chorus tho so ye, I agree with it being on the level of "Why Not?", the mid-tier LOONA power ranking :3
-
Well, I don't dislike "PTT" that much, but I most definitely prefer this album to "&" in general.
The chorus has to grow, yes, it's quite....indecisive if you may, lel. Even the last chorus sounded like the producer didn't know what to do with it to give it that extra punch, so they threw some random melodies in.
Title-tracks-wise it's mid-high tier for me~ I adore "Why Not?". -
Well tbf the producer is not really used to producing upbeat songs, they are more of the ballad producer if you see their track records so it is kinda understandable why it is like that.
Aite, how about album wise? Imo this is the 3rd or 4th on the LOONA power ranking
-
I know Chansline isn't, which is why I was a bit concerned on what was to come when the tracklist was posted lel. Actually, the more I listen to the album, the more it sounds one-tone to me so I'm not quite sure at the moment.
Hmm, it should be 3rd or 4th for me as well. I'm just debating whether I like "#" better.
-
-
-
What the heck.....this just makes me feel bad for the orchestra and the arranger lel.
Imagine going through all that rearranging and then playing, as such a giant ensemble.....to provide a backing for these vocals. -
Loll and live its more amusing in it's own way
-
I can record myself whining for myself thanks.
-
KasaneAAAuhh motareAAAuhh

Jazzy Britney tried her best....I know where Hitomi gets her inspiration from now.
-
-
-
Probably the question my future Sugar Daddy will have when I bring up the "inheritance talk" though. -
Lol i imagine the questionnaire
-
It's okay, I'll try Elon Musk first; he'd probably try to install a chip in my brain though...I'll convince him out of that too.
-
Do your best ~
-
Now that makes me nervous. ><
-
-
-
You adore the Chuu solo, hence, you're a more deserving candidate for the tuition payment. : p
-
Thank you again!
-
Lel, I would react with :revolving_hearts: if I could~
-
Revolving Akaso~
-
-
-
The heck is this? T^T
-
This is that
-
But what is that?
-
What that really is.
-
But what is that really?

-
Hi! Can you please vote for this? It's only one click and would really help
Thank you

Oh, the time has come....I am finally a victim of these wall posts of yours. :c
And I might....but, I'd like you to let me know on the specifics of it. Is it a permanent badge? How manywould it be? In case it won that is~
-
Yep, it's permanent! It'll be 750 akorns
-
Dun-Dun~
Now time to make those 750just in case.

In mainstream group/popular soloist K-Pop music that is?
The tracks that I can think of that come the closest are:
These are the most Sweet-Trip-esque Dream-Pop/Shoegaze tracks in mainstream K-Pop, by my knowledge.
In lesser known K-Pop and K-music, there are a lot more. -
I do feel that those tracks have some elements that's in common with "LOONATIC", but "LOONATIC" just feels like one of a kind. Maybe it's just me being biased, lel :'')
-
Yes, they don't commit to the concept or the genre or even the style as much as "LOONATIC" does....but the fact we actually have this music within mainstream K-Pop is a luxury in itself to be honest.
-
I suppose it is. Well it is my fav OEC song atm (maybe even LOONA song) so I am giving it all the praise and talk it deserves~
-
-
-
I was busy chilling with some anime.
And I usually do sleep around this time~
Why are you still up? That's the real question. -
It was my moms birthday yesterday and I had too much cake TT
I can't sleep haha
I'm watching Señorita choreographies on yt and one only couple had great chemistry the rest were really really bland
-
I used to hate that song with a burning passion lmao
now I'm over here vibin'
-
Happy belated B'Day to your madre. On to the real question, what kind was the cake?
As in, the "I love it when you call me Señorita" song?
The only dance cover I've watched of it was the YoonaxJunho one, which was all of HS's organic chemistry thrown at me at once. -
I don't think I've ever listened to that song fully actually....unless the Yoona and Junho performance had them dancing to the entire song and not an excerpt from it.
