I personally think that Tzuyu is mostly popular for her visuals while Nayeon is popular for her charisma, personality and her visuals. I've seen non/casual fans and netizens praise Tzuyu for her visuals but disregard how cute she is.
Nayeon has a more magnetic personality according to some and she just grabs you in whether you know her well or not.

This is objectively false. Tzuyu was the member who had her face everywhere early in Twice's careers. I don't think you know what an "it girl" is, because it has nothing to do with going solo. If Nayeon is Twice's it girl now, it's only because JYPE has pushed her as such while failing to promote Tzuyu, but Tzuyu was the one with an organic fanfare at the start.

I love Nayeon but i think she's more consistently popular rather than having an "it" era, if that makes sense. Whereas I'd say Tzuyu (and Sana) were the two members who actually have had a defined explosive era.
Tzuyu's impact and popularity was overwhelming during their early years. I remember the girl trending every single day for practically breathing. First solo CF in what...months after their debut. No visual list/conversation was to be had without her. But with almost zero push from JYPE and the company doing nothing for her momentum, we all know how that went.

Im not too sure what do u mean by her face everywhere. If talking about group commercial, Nayeon and Tzuyu had similar center times. I dont recall tzuyu had a lot of solo endorsement (since Jyp declined all solo deals). The most she had was magazine photoshoots. Im not sure those qualify as IT girls + everywhere.
On side note, It girl is someone that can command selling power, setting the trend and is popular. Doing well for solo debut kinda prove their popularity, see how well Jennie, Hwasa did for their solo debut.
Tzuyu is pretty but like many above said, she doesnt have the IT girl quality. Even Jooe from Momoland has more IT girl quality than her

Tzuyu was indeed everywhere. And then both the Samsung elevator commercial and the Flag Incident happened.
The company then backed off from pushing her into the limelight.

The flag incident itself ruined any chances of Twice entering the Chinese market, but in terms of Korean popularity, I think it was JYPE's terrible response to the flag incident more than anything. She was still going viral afterwards for something as simple as shooting an arrow, but JYPE had already artificially decided that she wasn't going to be "the one."

Yeah, I've followed kpop for a while and Twice since debut. Can honestly say I've rarely ever seen any GG member who could compare to the hype that Tzuyu had during their debut year. She was super huge and went viral whenever and wherever she made an appearance. The fact that nobody remembers how much of an it girl she was anymore goes to show how horribly JYPE has nerfed her chance to shine (and other members too but that's another conversation). It is what it is so I'm not gonna get too hung up on what-ifs, but denying Tzuyu's natural it factor would be insane.

Momo is really popular too. Now that they have individual instagram accounts, it's much more easy to tell. Nayeon is the most popular worldwide along with momo and tzuyu. Tzuyu might have the biggest buying fanbase but that's a different topic.

Tzuyu just doesn't have the biggest fandom, she's also very popular in India and TWICE are nugu there.
It's Tzuyu > Sana > Nayeon when it comes to international popularity. Momo is fourth.

Nayeon's popularity has increased after her solo but she's not the most popular. She is trendy rn, her song is a hit.
Overall popularity, it's Tzuyu > Sana > Nayeon. Every TWICE fan, even Nayeon biased know that.
