well in lesserafim's case, most stans were wizones or yunjin stans that dont actually stan HYBE or any boy groups under it
also obviously people are hyping them up since 3 members were known prior to their debut
this is different from NMIXX's situation where all members were random trainees that garnered most stans from JYPE stans
so i do think people hyping them are justified, its the same as IVE situation where people were hyping up the group for wony and yujin and don't actually stan the company

I mean, if the group happens to becomes a huge success later on, these people can say they stanned from day one. And I've seen people brag about that. Probably because in kpop everything is a bit of a competition.
And while you obviously don't want to be seen as a company stan, most don't want to be seen as a success stan either, so you gotta hop on at just the right moment. Kpop fandom is tough.

Once you are ARMY it equals HYBE stan even tho I'm only here for BTS under Bighit- I now stan the HYBE Corporation and all the labels and their groups by default. They can't separate and understand the expansion that happened because Bang PD is Chairman overall lol. Some ppl ignorant af and just be saying anything.

Company stans are the same. I see a lot of fans with BTS badges shooting for this group. Which isnt a bad thing at all, it's nice to see them hyping up Ssamkura, Chaewon in particular since she needs this support way more than Sakura. Kpop politics sure makes for some strange bedfellows, i'm hearting more Armys in these threads than i've ever done before in my life lol.
ETA: but for me, as everyone on Earth knows, i only care about Ssamkura. The others are literal strangers to me.

Coming from a big company gives groups a lot of cred. This group atleast had pre debut fans because of the izone members but the ador gg already has fans and both of them fight each other on twt.
Even apart from company Stans, People who don't even stan any group under BH or HYBE constantly say they are waiting for HYBE to release a gg, they want to see what hype gg looks like and stan etc. Like why don't just stan other ggs that are debuting from other smaller companies? It's really not just the company Stans which is ig how things work here and then people wonder why idols are treated the way they are
