I do have a confession here. I never shipped any kpop idols(I only ship animated characters ADRIENETTE, MARICHAT, LADYNOIR ALL THE WAY!!!!)

But, I may have read a few kpop shipping fanfics. Some of them were really really good, emotional, tragedic, everything a great book has.

I'm a huge shipper for absolutely everything, but I'm unable to ship actual real people.

Not kpop, but one of my friend was a HARDCORE Ian Somerhalder/Nina Dobrev when we were in middle school ( from the TV show Vampire Diaries ).

She was in TEARS when they broke up. She was probably more affected by it than by any break up that SHE went through in her life, which is insane. Like whyyyyy.

When I was 12 I shipped G-Dragon and Sohee because there were rumors they were together. Then I got over that REAL QUICK when they were rumored to have broken up lol

I was there and it was , and i wasn't even in the fandom. i watched first 3 seasons but didn't particularly care about the show. I couldn't escaped it even if i tried, most of doctor who blogs i followed were into it. It was wild!

I've never seriously shipped real people, like the delusional types. Fictional characters on the other hand......oh brother

I used to ship Kaisoo, Chanbaek, and Vkook. Mainly more bc they were cute guys and I had no good queer representation in my personal life to look up to. I never got into the group content, so in my mind all their names were attached to images of people not the actual idols. Not sure if that's worse, but I saw the characters as conveniently looking like the idols in my mind but having whatever traits made sense to me.

Additionally, I used to write fanfics and I didn't think of the idols as people but more so took character traits from other fanfics. My motivation for that is bc there was an existing fanbase around the ships so I could more likely develop an audience. I had a love for creative works, still do, and had fun making wonky ass plots and writing styles. I even wrote a couple short stories for another user and that was hilarious at times.

Gone were my shipping days until recently when Nomin popped up in my feed. It's not romantic though (but I still ponder what a realistic depiction of a gay relationship in a bg would be like now in SK's current sociopolitical climate). I'm jealous of their friendship ngl, the genuine care and attention reminds me of my current friends that I'm not able to meet in person yet. Inspired me to buy some friendship items with them.

I did have a phase where I was reading the dirtiest smut I could find about male idols I was interested in but it wasn't for shipping purposes

I wasn't loud about it though, just kept my shipping to myself.

I didn't went through the fanfic phase in general, but the fanarts and fan vids tho? (pls forgive me lol)

I still ship tho, but platonically. I love watching shipping videos 'cause of the funny and cute moments and their adorable friendships (I'm far from a touchy person and I find it incredible how can they do that so naturally).

Some reach weird levels (like analysis videos ), but some are very lighthearted and they're just made to appreciate their friendship.

Never shipped idols. I think it is extremely stupid.

Yes but only for a short time with SJ a few years back but I don't do it with anyone now. I personally think it's stupid and delusional. If a couple are meant to be, fate will take care of it, not fans wishful thinking.
