I've read it and somehow it feels like he is salty because his dream didn't come right away and he wasn't been able to be creative and needed to fit/think about group as well
maybe he is just one of people that would overall do better as soloist?

I don't think JYPE is the problem when I read his articles, but actually the Kpop industry itself. It would be the same if he came from another agency.
The training period is fckd up, what the Korean public and seniors expects from idols is fckd up, the way fans in general treat idols - the whole "let them speak their minds" but whenever they do it, they get unnecessarily judged and hated - is fckd up.
If the industry fix these stuff (which I doubt it will ever happen), no other Jae will need to deal with such situations and they'll live better lives.

I think it's more like the training system wasn't what he expected.
And also a lot of times he feel sorry for the group that has to experience backlash because of some things that he did that upset Korean fans.

Jae really is so amazing, for doing what he does, for handling it like he does and for being as transparent as he can be.
I always love reading/listening to his interviews.
He said a lot of interesting things, but I'm just putting some excerpts here (because I know most people won't even read the whole interview):
So they give you opportunities, but they don't train you to be performers. Your stage presence, all of that, isn't as manufactured as people think. I've been put onstage and I've been told that I should have better presence, or I need to be better, but never how.
“I'm trying to work with [a certain] producer, but I don’t have money for him, dude! OK, I’m not broke, I have life savings. And I'm prepared to spend every single last dime on this producer next year. It's kind of do or die. But I’d actually go broke if I don’t make it.”
But the life of being a K-pop idol continued to wear on. “I'm 100% confident if I didn't have this career path, I wouldn’t have broken down with panic attacks. I think it's because of just constant fear of a lot of things. You should ask every idol what the first thing they think of when they wake up in the morning is.”
I asked what he thought about for the past seven years.
“Am I gonna be done today? Is something going to happen?" he says. "That's the first thing you think of. That's why idols are all over the socials. Because they're constantly checking. Is there something from 50 years ago that I did or, like, did I wrong someone in some way?”
My friend is in another much, much more established group than I am, another American that went over to Korea. He's so concerned with what he says, that even when we're talking one-on-one, I see him filtering his words mentally. I feel so bad. I know that route, because I've been down it, and you lose your mind.”
“It was really, really hard for me to let go because the thing that I heard the most was, ‘You're in a group, you're in a group. If you fuck up, your group takes responsibility for it.’”

i agree that it is an industry wide problem
But for things like his desire to work with a producer, surely jype can help him out with that right?
Why does he have to pay from his own pocket when he's signed with jype?
The companies dungeon artists for so long under the guise of training them,
Surely they must feel some responsibility for the artists too

For Jae, his solo stuff which he calls his 'eaj project' is a separate entity from JYPE. I think for any song that is under eaj isn't governed by JYPE, he is doing this for the love of music that has his own sound to it that is outside of Day6 activities.

Frankly,I think this mindset goes beyond the industry and is rooted into the Korean society.
I remember watching that channel Eat Your Kimchi back in the day, where they talked about Korea's high s*icide rates,and how some students felt compelled to take their lives over a test score. It's awful.

I mean other parts of day6 have had units yet they never really supported his solo?
Day6 in general seemed like to never really get the full jyp machine supporting them

Frankly,I think this mindset goes beyond the industry and is rooted into the Korean society.

That's why it's so important to see idols talking about it. Behind the idol/celebrity universe, they're also workers and they should vocally address the issues if they want their future juniors to have better experiences and life than them.
And I agree with you when you say it's not just an industry issue, but how it's also rooted in Korean society (Jae mentions that indirectly).

It's a bit of a mess we actually don't know much about it.
Jae and Sungjin went on hiatus for mental anxiety issues, so the sub-unit was formed with the remaining 3. Jae however did express his disappointment that he wasn't asked to be part of their comeback after he felt better.
His solo project was his own eaj stuff that he wanted to do outside of JYPE. It's not like a normal solo debut it was more of his own hobby side project thing, with Day6 still as his main focus.
I do feel that JYPE could have given them more support as a whole. At least in the recent months it is kinda getting better with EoD and Young K's solo.
Right now Jae is in America and he actually just finished a concert with his friends. I think Studio J (the subsidiary that handles Day6) also had people over there to help him with his set so things are improving. Hopefully Jae gets more support since he will be the only one holding down the fort for Day6 when the remaining 2 members (Wonpil Dowoon) eventually enlist.
