But here, they're just going to the airport and going on a flight just like anyone else. It's no different from carpooling or getting onto the subway train. The flight would happen with or without them.

My point is they make these messages telling poor people how badly we are fucking up the earth and we need to do, then load onto private jets/737s wearing fashion brands that are all HORRIBLE for the environment and dont actively do anything about it themselves even though there carbon footprint is 10000x larger then regualr people

It's not like BP are flying on private jets like some western celebrities who publicly advocate for protecting the environment. Those flights would be taking off without them on the plane or not. At the very least, YG has made a statement about switching to more eco friendly materials for album production since BP's UN appointment and powers a lot of their new building via solar energy. Bp's appointment is about using their influence to educate others about climate change and what's happening to our planet - it doesn't mean they need to stop using electricity and live in wooden huts. They got picked for the position because they have a platform, nothing else

We should try to find alternative ways to prevent bad things happening to the Earth. For example, inventing planes that don't run on gas, cleaning up the ocean, trying our best recycling etc.
We can't turn everything back to the way it was, but we can prevent things from becoming worse.
