Can someone give a brief history of why cj enm is bad? Like are they trying to monopolise the entertainment business as a whole?

Cuz I thought the big 3 are humongous on their own cuz of sales, tours and shit. SM has to be the biggest of the big 3 I mean they send their idols to political events be it Melania and Minho, rv and north korea, exo and trump. Like they are quite well connected by themselves right? Do they need this sale?

Actually all of these Kpop labels are kinda tiny. Even Hybe which is multiples bigger than SM, YGE, and JYPE is still a tiny goldfish when compared to companies like CJENM, Naver, Kakao, etc. SM is nothing for a chaebol like CJENM.

LSM is the majority shareholder which means that CJ will now become the majority shareholder which is essentially owning it

Why do you guys keep on call CJ "CJENM"? CJENM is only the entertainment branch of the CJ conglomerate. For those who don't know the SK conglomerates, Mnet is part of CJENM which is in turn part of CJ. I just had some CJ mandu earlier this way btw.

I thought so too but SM, YGE and JYPE are actually tiny compared to Hybe. And Hybe is tiny compared to behemoths like Naver, CJENM and Kakao.
