I already created a thread stating Blackpink will renew.

Blackpink has so much freedom to build their solo careers and do whatever they want. They will never leave YG.

Them not having a comeback was a no brainer. Yge obviously think that rose and lisa solos were enough, plus jisoo's leading role in a kdrama.

How do they know they will renew? It's too early to tell. I didn't read the tweet, maybe it's explained there

YG has a record of this. If they want to re-sign you, they'll re-sign you. BIGBANG, WINNER and AKMU all re-signed. They're pretty much experts at this.

The biggest example of this...YG has perhaps the strongest actor roster in Korea. Actors in Korea are notorious for label-hopping. YG has consistently re-signed many of their actors.

It's pretty well-known in Korea YG artists live pretty luxurious and very comfortable lives and the rumor has always been YG leads the industry in contracts that are artist-friendly.

As AKMU stated when they re-signed, YG artists are given unlimited resources. Every artist has a huge team of staff assigned to them and at their disposal.. And YG also has high-level connections that you just don't find many places.

Just a guess, but I believe BIGBANG got a signing bonus when they re-signed...huge money upfront which you see in sports but unheard of in Kpop... and some stock options...which YG and YGPlus stock are rocketing right now...

That's pretty much guaranteed to happen for BLACKPINK. Probably an even better contract than that. And they deserve every $/₩ they're offered and then some.

Oh for sure. The things fans want and the things members want are not necessarily the same.

Who are we to judge when they're offered life-changing money. When you're offered "generational money" it means it impacts your family...your future children, grandchildren and so on. You're set for life.

It's entirely up to them and their decision should be respected.

It is just some financial analyst report which informs people about the current situation.

Like these are the artist will have contract renewals next 2 years and if they renew these artists are obviously gonna negotiate themselves better contract terms which means the company is gonna get smaller share of profits so keep all this in mind if you are planning to invest in them etc..
